I wish somebody would have warned me and told me to put the damn line in before the engine or transmission, would have been much easier. I wish the entire line was flexible but then some Ford engineer wouldn't make 6 months salary designing it.

Yep, fucked up my hand bad on the heat shielding. I bought the line a while ago and lost it so I had no choice to put it in now when I discovered it last week. I am concerned about it being close to the steering shaft.

You may be able to bend it a little as long as you don't collapse the tube. Obviously a mandrel would be optimal but who has one of those?

As long as it's not touching "your shaft" , it will be fine, the shaft doesn't move around side to side.

The frpp does look more beefy than my JPC line that's fore sure, it's looks twice as thick.

What about the line itself moving? Wouldn't the movement of the transmission possibly torque the line around and possibly make contact?

You could zip tie it to something to make it more stable or get a brake line bender to tweak it. I'd recommend a craftsman as long as it fits the size of the line

I would split some rubber tubing and slide it over the line where it contacts the frame under the brake booster (if it does). I wouldn't worry about the other end, it's flex line to allow for the transmission torquing back and forth slightly.

I'll fool around with that line when I have time this week.

Put the order in for a new MGW shifter and 7/8" wheel spacers this evening.

The HE is expected to be delivered tomorrow. Should be able to install that and the valve covers this week. I'll get some free time to work in the shop Wednesday evening.

The engine/trans assembly really doesn't move much, especially now with the stiffer motor mounts used with the BMR K. Unless that line is pretty much touching the shaft, it should be fine.

I haven't been home for a while. My neighbor has a bunch of packages for me and it's probably in that stash. I'll let you know tonight.


I have a side question for you guys. Do you think I need to get this dyno-tuned ooooor should I just get a tune from Lund (for the time being)? My 2013 has a JL tune and it works great. I only say this because the mods aren't too complicated.

Stock Eaton with 2.5" Pulley
FRPP 65mm TB
FRPP CAI (I think 113mm)
2013 GT500 H Pipe
FR500 Mufflers

I'd just get a Lund tune and be done with it. Those are very simple/common mods.

I'm considering going E85 and having Lund remote tune mine.

I posted some pics in another thread. Should be ready at end of this week or next week. I would heavily suggest not doing this though. Way too time and money was put into it. I will post a complete write up with more pictures when I get the car back.
