Can't seem to find any adapters for linking the 2.75" outlet midpipe to the 2.5" OTA pipes.

Weld a 2.5" pipe to the Midpipe so the overlap clamp will work with it.

Is there such a way to take the end of the 2.75" pipe and reduce it to 2.5" like a pipe machine? I don't know what the word for it would be? Basically crush the pipe to be smaller.

Not without putting some serious heat behind it I would think...they make lapping band clamps that step down... Look into those, I'll see if I can find one.

I would recommend welding a reducer on it though so you could reuse the stock mid to OTA clamp. Plus it would be a hell of a lot stronger

You can also stick the part number into Amazon and search it there.

You will have to shorten the OTA pipe the appropriate amount but these will work nicely. I used the same brand reducers on my 3" JBA H pipe fitted to my 2.5" OTA pipes. Use some Permatex muffler and pipe sealer on the connections before clamping them and they won't leak. Or you can weld the adapters on the midpipe and then clamp the OTA pipes on.

Thanks, "Reducer" was the name I was looking for. Also, that link helps big time Brian. I was searching on Summit as you posted something like that a couple pages back but couldn't find that piece.

I will look into that and see what I can do. May be that time for me to learn some welding skillz.

I think I have a picture of mine, let me look-

Here's where I welded the reducers on the midpipe. Had to use the old style clamps to attach the resonators because there wasn't enough room for the band clamps. I cut my stock OTA pipes at the appropriate length and clamped them in the resonators. Just as a side note, if you get resonators I recommend round ones instead of oval like mine. I had a heck of a time getting them tucked up in there without touching anything. The regular M80 style would fit much better.

I'll probably be fine without resonators since it is a catted H pipe and FR500 mufflers. Yes, you won't be seeing me blow up my GTB's (just yet).

Maybe I'll paint my mid pipe and OTA pipes for shits and giggles.

I used the Eastwood exhaust heat coating, sprayed the inside of the pipes and then used the rest of the can on the outside just to pretty them up a little. $20 on Amazon.

That is a clamp for a slip fit connection. I run these on mine. They're made for where one pipe is just large enough to slide over the other, then this clamps them together (but prettier than the u-bolt type clamps). They're not for reducing or upsizing.

How about running the 2011+ 2.75" OTA pipes and then one of those slip fit connectors on the OTA to install the 2.5" mufflers? Any method better than the other?

I think trying to put the adapters behind the axle will throw your muffler placement way off. The pipes coming out of the H are straight and it's an easy place to splice in the reducers without creating issues with muffler tip placement.

The '11-up OTA pipes have a ball/cup design connection at the muffler. It's not a slip fit like the 05-10.
