I would say so easily---as I am no where near 3000lbs and my car just went 10.277 last night with 604rwhp.

To give you a better idea perhaps is Kens car. 760rwhp is good for 9.8Xs in his car that weighs 4020lbs with him in the car.

I don't think it's even possible to get the weight of a 9 second stick car down to 3000 pounds. You need a scatter shield, a cage, and the weight of the turbo or blower. All the 9 second cars that I've heard of are useing a cast iron block. It's just a guess but I'd bet that would make the car at least 3350 unless you completely gut the car.

Putting down somewhere in the neighborhood of 750hp and 900tq with an aluminum block
Car weighs about 3890 with me in it
Stock front wheels and tires. Rear stock wheels widened 2" using 295/45/75 MT's drag radials
3.73 gears

I know Mike at PowerHouse went 10.29 with a stick car and I believe his car weighed in the neighborhood of 3350 but he could answer that for sure. If you take out another 300# it would be very close but as George said it would be very tough getting one down to 3000#.

I forgot about the cage etc.. I wont be putting a cage in this car. Our local track is pretty cool with the fast street cars. My cousin 2 valve runs 9.8's with no cage or nothing they let it slide :beerdrink:

Im going to try and take another 100 lbs out of the car the way it sits without completly gutting the thing.

Paul,
What was the fastest you went on the stock motor (both bottom and top end)?
What pulley combo and what did it put down?

I went 10.62 at 126 with a 3.0 upper and 10% lower. Then the next pass grenaded. It was also about 50* out. The Saleen blower is maxed out at 17psi. Time to do twin turbos next season.
