Race videos from this weekend at Firebird Main + Bondurant Track Combined (The "Mondo" track, as they are calling it).

This is me driving a friend's car on rental, not the car shown in my sig. Car is a gutted 2006 Roush Track-Pack-fitted Mustang. Dynoed 392/355 at the wheels this past week in 97* heat.

Over 100* all 3 days we were at the track, wearing a double-layer nomex suit without a cool-suit was not pleasant...but that's just how we do it out here in AZ (on a budget, anyways).

Saturday Qualifying:

Sunday Qualifying Race (Started 11th, finished 9th overall, 4th in class):


Sunday Feature Race (Started 9th, finished 6th overall, 3rd in class, after losing ABS functionality in the 2nd lap--that was an interesting surprise):

nice vids. I thought for sure the clown in the Capri in vid #2 was going to center punch the car in front when he jumped the start. I was glad to see you go by him in vid #4. The lines he was taking surely looked like he'd be the type to take someone out in a corner.

Yeah he was trying to jump the start but the green didn't come out...that was an "interesting" maneuver.

I prefer to have him well behind me whenever possible.
