I seen some tailight paint at Advance last week. Maybe try it?

I'm not sure of the process, but I know that you have to use a certain paint, a clearcoat, and something else I believe. Not something I would do lol.

This was a transparent black basecoat. Then you clear over it. I might try it on my motorcycle first.

I would try it on something small 1st so you can see results before trying it on your tail lights. That's just my $.02

Yeah the stock lights look good on my color car I think. I'm going to try it on a clear bottle or something

Or go get a deflector light from a bicycle or something and try it on that. It will work roughly the same.

That's different. I want to see some pictures of the whole rear end so I can see it better.

Here's mine that I did a few months ago. I wanted to black out the panel without buying a blackout, so I painted the emblem and the panel.

not my favorite, but the color of your car makes it look good. If it were a black car, it wouldn't match up well. What color is it though? Black Satin?

I was thinking about replacing the factory emblem. If I did, it would be one of these. I don't know which would look better on red.

The black one. But honestly why would you replace a non funtional gas cap for another non functional, more expensive, gas cap??

Because the ones I posted look better, less bulky, look cleaner, and cover the trunk key hole. It would at least have some function, even if it is only covering the key hole.

Its called VHT NiteShades. I put 3 coats of the VHT and then 3 coats of clear. Then wetsanded with 2000 grit, rubbing compund, then wax. I like it mine a lot and only cost $15. I also did my 3rd brake light and rear side markers. Here are some phone pics.

Got a new camera last weekend. If the weather can stay nice long enough this weekend I'll get some new pics of the emblems. We're supposed to get more rain so keep your fingers crossed
