Rebuild kit for my 3560 Or T56?

What happen was a 15mph from 2nd brake boosting and I go to hit 3rd and it free spins and feels like neutral...

Reverse pops out and has to be held it to work... 5th gear feels like a thick sponge going in and pulling out... Everything else has tons of play when in gear and feels really shitty....

Not sure if I should try to rebuild it or just get the T56 or T6060... Shooting for big power over the winter...

It's obviously cheaper to rebuilt your 3650, but I'd get the new Tremec T56 if I were you.

As stated above joe, rebuilding your 3650 will be a hell of alot cheaper than the tr6060 swap... trust me... Not only do you need the 6060 tranny, you need everything along with it to make it swap over.. Check out liberty transmissions. They have a beefed up kit for the 3650.

yep, heres the link:http://www.libertysgears.com/ttc.htm.... give em a call. they rebuild the 3650 to handle alot of power. i have heard great things about them.. IMO, its the only alternative other then the 6060 when making power and much cheaper..

Hanlon Motorsports is developing a new rebuild kit for the 3650 that they say will bring it's power handling ability close to 1000hp. I spoke with them at the NMRA event at Atco this summer and the guy said it should be available later this year.

I was really thinking I was going to pop the motor before the trans but hey transmission is cheaper... So I guess I will start shopping around... I have all winter now to figure this out!

I may just build the one I have and see if it can take what I throw at it. If it can't I'll have to figure out something else...

lol....brings back memories.....when my second gear went i was 50 miles from home.....luckily the car drove great, other than second gear,lol.


i debated the same as you!! found a guy hear in florida that would do a built 3650 for $1500 i think.....you know that the 26 spline shafts are cut and welded to the 10 spline shaft in order to give you a 26 spline in your 3650? sounds gay huh.....he said that a company he worked with was just coming out with a full shaft replacement!!

anyway....i went with another stock 3650, my stocker lasted for 10k miles, and for $400 i couldnt pass it up. so in the mean time ill get my stocker built or i may just find a 6060......

just keep in mind with the 6060, im running 3.55's, so ill have to upgrade the gears to 4.10's probably.

no kidding and everyone is out of texas. i got a sweet deal in the for sale section on a tr6060 (complete swap). but just cant ship it sinse im not there to do it. but someone needs to come get that thing so i can buy more stuff.
