Retrofit touch screen climate control?

I have looked everywhere for clarification on whether the Metra 108-FD4CH is compatible with the 2008 Mustang and have not found much. I realize this is for 10-14s but I have done a dashboard swap with a '14 so physically it will fit. I also transferred the '08 harness into the new dash so I am working with original electrical. I understand there may some rewiring but from a software perspective, is this compatible with the older climate control systems?

I kind of doubt it. The new unit would have to integrate with the CANBUS system which I’m sure has changed a lot.
