Just got my roush front fascia in, it's at the body shop being prepped and painted. I had a question about the foglights, according to the instructions, you can not have the Roush fogs on at the same time as the factory fogs.....anyway around this? I have seen pix of other cards where all the lights are on at the same time (headlamps, factory fogs, and Roush fogs.)I am not good with teh wiring :(

How? I know next to nothing about wiring. Roush instructions are wanting me to drill a hole into my dash for the switch, I don't really want to do that. I also want them to come on at the same time as the factory Fogs.

Just splice them in to the wire going to the stock fogs?

That wouldn't cause too much load on the stock wiring would it? Or affect the power supplied to the fogs, or the light production?

Sorry for all of the questions, but we have alot of deer here and a lot of fog which are not good mixes, so more light=the better

Your best option is to listen to Freaknasty. You need a relay in order for it to not cause too much load. Basically, you put a relay off of the main fog lights (easiest way) and it will just turn on when they turn on, in turn, turning on the new lights. The relay will take the place of the switch so you won't need to drill your dash (unless you want the option of just running 2 lights when you want. Then it gets a little more complicated, but it's all still simple wiring

if you are in the state of texas it is illegal to run both sets at the same Time. i wired my 05 roush that way and was pulled over. so i just put in a switch. on my 09 it dosent have the center set so the fog lights are wired into the main switch where the factory fogs were wired.

Personally I think I'd want to have the option to turn on whichever ones I want on. It should be easy to wire it up straight just like you would a set of aftermarket fog lights. Don't use any of the factory fog lights wiring in the process. Basically ignore the instructions and run wires from battery to the switch then to the lights and then grounds. You may be better off using a different switch if that one is set up wierd to use the factory setup someway, but I can't imagine that being the case.

I think I just might wire them up to a switch. That way if needed I am able to turn them off, and it won't require much to do that. Any good ideas on where to mount a switch?
