I wanted to see if anyone with a Saleen(preferably the 3v non supercharged) has put on an aftermarket X-Pipe to go with the stock catback. Im looking into putting on a Magnaflow Catted X-Pipe to compliment the stock Saleen Magnaflow Catback. I just want the car to be a little louder with a little bit of a deeper tone. So i think this would be a good set up, ya?

I did Kooks LT's with their catted x and I think it sounds like ass. It's VERY barky / raspy, so it's not a deeper tone. Once I get me shop setup I will be swapping to a H.

I think its titled robs 05 saleen (or something like that) The guy has a blue saleen s/c and it sounds b/a. I think he changed mufflers and mid pipe but im not 100% sure

A catless X would sound really raspy. Id go with an H pipe.

i have a catted magnaflow X on my SC car . sounds kick ass to me , it has a nice hollow sound not raspy at all. just recently added bbk shorties didnt make much of a sound change.

Anybody else?

I'm now debating the Magnaflow catted X or the Magnaflow o/r X..sound difference is clear, but which would be better in performance?

I appreciate the post but unfortunatly this doesnt help me since im looking for an aftermarket midpipe for a stock saleen catback with stock headers.

i HAD AN off road x pipe with flowmasters on mine and it sounds like shit and was real raspy. Now with the turbo its not raspy but its quite so Im going to go no cats no mufflers out the back. It sounded great when I was just dumped under the trans before I got the exhausted hooked back up.
