I just received my tuner today. All went well until I tried to start the car after uploading the tune. It didn't want to start. I put the car back to stock and tried again. No dice. Then I tried a different tune and same thing. Any of you guys experience this? I emailed Brent but he won't get back to me until tomorrow I believe.

I was going to say that your Brenspeed tune was made with the wrong strategy (that happened to me at first), but if the stock tune doesn't work either then maybe you blew a fuse? I would check all fuses, the ones on the inside and under hood.

When I turned it back to stock it started up just fine so I'm sure its not the fuses. There's absolutely no ignition going through with the 93 octane or 87 octane tunes.

If after you flash the car with a tune, the wrench does not goes off after a couple of secs that you turn on the key (without giving it crank), there is an strategy mismatch. You can also check that with the key on your throttle does not move as you move you accelerator pedal.

If this is what happens to you, while having the stock tune in the car (flasher returned to stock) do a strategy code read with it and send it to brent.

To do this, go to vehicle diagnostics where you will find the strategy read option. It will give you a 7 letter/number word that you will give to them.

Am I the only one confused????

I was thinking the same thing hehe.

Getting my tune in the next few weeks so these kinds of threads intrigue me. I'm sure I'll manage to get a tune that kills my car for a few days :D

Does it attempt to start? Turn over? Anything? Is it sputtering and then stalling?

Sorry, what I meant was that I tried all tunes and the car wouldn't start. Only after I switched it back to stock would it start. I got an email from Dave and he told me to send him the strategy code. All I'm doing now is waiting...Thanks guys.

Nah it doesn't even attempt to start. Dave at Brenspeed told me it was probably flashed at the dealership with a different strategy than what is on the sticker at the PCM.

Thanks bro. Got the tuner working thanks to Dave at Brenspeed!! Just finished loading it up and drove it around for a bit. Didn't do a WOT run yet but it feels much better already. Revs more quickly, no throttle lag and it just feels like it wants to move haha
