Not sure if this is where this goes......

What the hell is the easiest way to get shoe polish off the damn car? I got it off after some good ole fashion elbow grease, BUT there has to be an easier way!

I spray a paper towel with Goo Gone, or Goof Off what ever its called. I also used gas on a paper towel to get it off. I normally wipe it off before leaving the track so it doesn't bake on the windshield.

how did it get there?
+1... I'd never put that shit on my car.

Do yourself a favor and buy some Geddex. You can easily wipe it off with anything, even your hand or a Kleenex. I have several bottles and I never ever let the track officials use their stuff on my windows.

My question is, why the hell do they even use shoe polish if it is such a PIA to get off. I would think most tracks would just invest in the Geddex.

try steel wool. you can get a big bag off 0000 super fine steel wool for maybe $1.50 at walmart or any hardware store. it will take it off dry so you dont have to wash your car and wont scratch your glass.
