Wel I havent been able to get my gt to pass inspection. The first day I went I was told the readyness for the 02 sensor and 02 sensor heater failed. So I got the tuner out and checked it out. The only thing in the diag were those 2 so I cleared them and well over 500 miles I contiued to check from them to come back, they never did. Went back and some ones are still there. Well today I loaded the origanal back up tune and it would keep throwing Too lean bank 1 and 2. So just no I loaded the 87 octane tune.
If I remember right the same thing happened last year but my wife has always delt with the hand held tuner (Diablo). I think the last tune we got for it has the 02 sensors turned off and that maybe causing the issue. If Im wrong could some one give me some pointers please. Id ask my wife about it but it would take about a week for the info and I need it asap (tag is expired)

Just about all tunes turn off the rear o2 sensors. If it's feasable, return the car back to stock, have the battery unplugged while doing this, hook the battery back up, reload the stock tune and then there's some sort of procedure you need to drive so that the pcm is "ready" again. It's somewhere on this site but I don't remember what it is.

Ok well Ive got the stock tune back in and I can drive about 50-60 miles and It will set P0171 Too lean Bank1, P0174 Too lean Bank 2 and P1000 OBD Systems Readiness Test not complete.
Could these be cause by a vac leak? Nothing like this started happening till after I had the intake manifold off to replace the alternator.

Sure a vac leak can make it run lean. It's just letting extra air into the system after the MAF so the system can't compensate for it.

Did you put the stock air intake/box back on as well when you put the stock tune back?

No I dont have it any more. Its a C&L thats on it now. Last year when the stock tune was put back in, it didnt do any of these issues.
Now if some one local would let me borrow a stock intack and air box for a couple days Id try that. Im in Atlanta Ga btw

Depending on who wrote your tune, you might be able to contact them and ask for an "emissions" tune that will work with the C&L intake and have the rear o2's turned back on.

That may be your best bet right now since you don't have the stock air box any longer.

your O2s are off is my bet, SCT defaults them to off, you need to have the tune updated, then do the driving cycle in the manual.

BTW - all covered on this board many times..... search is your friend.

I have a Diadolsport tuner. And Ive put the stock tune back in the car and now having lean codes. And I dont have the maual for the tuner. As my first post explains my wife has always delt with the tune in this car. She is in prison right now so its kinda tough to just ask to deal with it.

i see, sorry about that, still if it is a breenspeed tune they should be able to solve the issue.

Well it was good for a bit. Now its acting up some and Ive got to figure it out. Heres the deal I loaded the last tune that was in the car before I put the stock one back in. Well I got in to the throttle some and it bogged down some till about 3k and it puts you in the seat. so I loaded the 91 octaine tune and its doing the same deal. I drove it about 145 miles then shut the car off when I got home and got back in it about 3 mins later to move it and it set the same codes again.
