Looks like you can get the "Steeda media" version mounts on eBay through Billet Depot:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/05-0...r_Truck_Parts_Accessories?hash=item439c527566

And the Lethal/BBR mounts are also sold as yet another house brand, Joe Heck Racing..

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/05-0...r_Truck_Parts_Accessories?hash=item56383c8adf

And the Prothane mounts are getting around too:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2005...r_Truck_Parts_Accessories?hash=item3a51e074ce

This was a very helpful post, thanks for searching that info. Its funny because the steeda ones are exactly like those ebay ones, for TWICE the price. I heard that Steeda just bought other companies products and slapped their name on it, now it really makes sense. I am in the market for motor mounts and I am glad I seen this thread.

Yep, just what I did! In the end I just wasn't impressed with their product, so I mailed them back to LRS in exchange for a set of Prothanes.

Steeda does make some really good stuff. As a matter of fact, most of my recent purchases have been Steeda suspension & chassis items; however I just wasn't convinced on the motor mounts.

shouldn't be about how good the product they sent was. It's about what was advertised as opposed to what was shipped. I hate bait and switch with a follow up explanation of 'sorry our website wasn't updated'. That's crap. It's not the customers responsibility to keep businesses aware of mistakes. Send me what you advertised and what I paid for, period. Or notify me and ask my permission to ship something else, that's only fair.

Yeah, you're right I think he's just trying to prevent this from turning in an full on bashing where people come out from the willows and bring up their problems with Steeda, that more often than not are years old and have gotten taken care of. This isn't an MMR thread.. lol.

It was more of just a general statement, not just at the op. some ppl are getting that way here...at least it seems that way. i could have misinterpreted though. if so ill just delete my post.

Got examples? I've never encountered any bait and switch BS like that. I, for one, would love to know about any product (big or small) being misrepresented by major vendors.

Shame on Steeda. Go getcha some Prothanes.

Actually, it's right on Steeda's website under their Policies section.

Due to our ongoing process of design and development, actual products may occasionally differ from the photos shown in this catalog.

Shit happens.

Don't be deceived by the tacks welds. Those are the same exact mounts I have and I've had no problems what so ever.

Yeah once everythings bolted together, those tack welds mean absolutely nothing for the strength or durability of the mount.

Please keep in mind that you're paying nearly $200.00 for those mounts -- tack welds and all. If those mounts were sold for $99.00 then I would probably buy them...maybe. A one-piece billet design is an overall better product. Another plus is the one-piece billet units the other manufacturers are selling are priced better than the Steeda units. In the end, I just couldn’t justify paying the price for what I received.

FWIW, in all of my wonderous message board travels, I have yet to see a failure of one of these motor mounts. Perhaps it was lost in the sea of countless exhaust or 'do I need a throttle body' threads, but I haven't seen them.

Not telling you or anyone else where to spend their money, but I'm just saying.

I don't think it's about failing... the billet ones LOOOK extra nice.. and that is what the guy was paying for whether he knew or not that the tack welds mean nothing is up for debate but the fact that you are ordering a hot set of billet motor mounts and you get essentially a few spacers on that "rainbow steel" is a little off putting don't you think?

Dont get me wrong man I agree with you 100%. I was just stating the fact that these mounts wont fail just because they are tack welded. I wasnt implying that that they are priced right or anything other. I know billet is better.......

No worries man, I know what you meant. :thumb:

I was actually hoping Steeda would pickup on my hint that they should sell their mounts for $99.00.
