I bought a set of the brackets and 13/14 GT500 Stoptech rotors from LRS. They match my OEM Saleen front brakes. Looking forward to having the new brakes fill out the big 20" wheels better than OEM GT brakes.

Not bad for around $330 with shipping for everything. Certainly could be done cheaper with different rotors, but I think the looks are worth the difference.

Damn this is such an easy swap . I did it the hard way by using the 2013 gt500 brackets and etc. pulled the axles and stuff.

I've had my brackets for a couple of months or so, yesterday I ordered the "premium rear rotors 13-14 GT500" from LRS, $89.99 each minus the 6% forum discount code, about $169 shipped.

Just one more thing I need to do to the car before it goes in to the World Of Wheels show at the end of March

Mine will be coming off in the next week or so. I've already got someone in line for them, but if anyone is interested, let me know.

Received the new '13-'14 GT500 rear rotors from LRS ... 14" rear rotors will finally match the 14's in the front, and won't look tiny once the 20's finally get installed back there.

As far as packaging, it looks like the LRS retarded packaging monkey is still employed there .... a HUGE box with tons of heavy brown paper on top and the rotors on the bottom ... wasteful and inadequate-against-dropping packaging, once again:

Just ordered new Hawk HPS rear brake pads, to go along with the new '13-'14 GT500 13.8" rear rotors and the caliper-relocation brackets.

Hawk # HB485F.656 ....... $60.72 shipped on autoanything.com using the 15% coupon code they listed on the page with the pads :)

Correct me if I'm wrong... To upgrade the rear brakes on my '07 GT, I can use the above parts as well as change the rear calipers to 2011+ one's? Will it be a direct swap?

You don't need to swap calipers, you can keep your stock calipers. I have my bolt on brackets and rotors up for sale right now. I do a lot of long trips and my spare wouldn't clear my front or rear brakes. Took me being almost stranded with a flat to decide that I should drop back down to smaller rotors in the rear and keep my spare. I don't feel like being stuck in Central FL with cows and oranges.

Plus with these brackets, it only takes 30 minutes to install the larger brakes. With the OEM brackets you have to spend an afternoon pulling the axles and smelling like gear lube.

Have you seen the news about the winter up north?

I moved down here to go to school. I was tired of freezing for half the year, tired of the snow, tired of Detroit, and tired of the people. Needed a change.

In all honesty, I prefer keepng the setup OEM. I don't mind pulling the axles out to get this done. Will take the opportunity to change the diff oil too. I saw your for sale thread. If I was looking for the bracket setup, I would have already contacted you. GLWS!

But, just to clarify. If you want to go the OEM route and not use the ebay brackets... 2011+ calipers are required, or grinding the 05-09 caliper to gain clearence is required right?

I didn't have a problem with the eBay brackets clearing. Not sure about the updated calipers. I think they have a different part number because they are painted or powder coated.

From what I've read...

To go the OEM route, you'll need the brackets, 2011+ calipers & rotors.
To use the 'eBay' brackets, you'll just need the brackets & rotors. The pre-2011 calipers will still work.

No grinding is required and reusing the 05-09 is ok. They are identical.

You have to pull the axels so might as well do a new diff cover and get new fluids.

Im cool with that. Factory engoneering > fleabay engoneering. So grab the OEM rotors and brackets, slap it all together, and its all plug n play no jimmying or modifying at all? I'm assuming that's your first hand experience?

I may one of the first handful of people who did the full swap.

Rehagan Racing (a vendor here) was selling full 2013 GT500 front and rear take offs complete with rear bracket, brake lines, and even the hand brake cabled including the rear calipers.

Upon receipt the rear calipers and handbrake lines were identical so I just used the "new" Pads off it and reused my rear caliper and sold the GT500 rears =)

there is also a how to video by latemodelresto.
