for sale is a basically new tci 4l80e 6 spd auto complete kit with 3500 stall built by them. this is the heavy duty street strip version as they have 3 levels offered for this unit, this is the 2nd tier. the next level is an all out race trans rated at 1500hp. total package with converter is over 8500. now its 7650 WITHOUT converter or mount. this was put behind a pro dyno built coyote in an 11 gt intended for 28 lbs from an f1a. 2 slight mods at rear portion of trans will have to be done to fit the s197 cars but will fit behind ANY mod motor and use any mod motor starter. all was put together and mathematically was supposed to make 1135 to the ground. was assembled driven 5 miles and car is being sold and will be listed with stock engine and 6spd with the f1 on a 720rwhp tune at 15psi, as is both the trans and built engine (engine sold) due to purchase of a 70 barricuda. trans and built motor still in car currently being removed so engine can go to its new home so sorry for the crappy pics. transmission is immaculate and never even got to tune it but gears are incredibly tight as felt on 1 short drive. this is the heavy duty street/strip version with all the good stuff. comes complete with everything needed to be a complete install from trans cooler and lines to custom crossover lokar dipstick, driveshaft, 3500 stall converter, shifter, harness, standalone fast ecu, fully programmable controller, etc. just bolt it in, hook it all up and go. this can be paddle shifted, manually shifted, or set to full automatic thru the controller so you can set shift points for each gear. price is SOLD to the us to confirmed address only. sorry for the crappy pics but pm a cell # and I will send some better pics when it is on the ground and of everything. whats not pictured is the switch plate that surrounds the shifter and houses the 6th gear switch.
current internals are as listed:

• Cleaned, prepped, and painted GM transmission case
• CNC-machined billet aluminum adapter ring
• 30.1 SFI-approved aluminum Ford adapter bellhousing
• All new bearings, bushings, seals, and gaskets
• Premium Teflon sealing rings

I thought the 4l80 was a 4 speed.

I remember some years ago a magazine was talking about how a company re programmed a 4l80 to use its gear sets to make 6 gears out of the original 4. Is this it? What are the ratios?

Brand new price of 7650 on that link doesn't include billet converter, lokar dipstick, driveshaft or trans. mount. it will cost you 9k to buy this setup listed. just bolt this in, fill the trans, dial it in and go. it is easily upgradeable for trans brake etc,,,
