do I need to get the bolts at ford or can I get the bolts/ nuts at pepboys/ kraigans.. etc
They are "studs" - so you need to get some that will screw into the MAC headers - I don't recall what the thread on there is... I have no idea if they are even the same size (on the header side) as Ford's stud for that part - MAC sends you new ones when you buy the headers...)

BTW - just checked, the MAC stud is definitely not the same size - it looks a little larger and coarse thread where the Ford is a medium thread and smaller...

Don't have a nut handy to give you an actual size - it measure about 10.5mm, but it may not be metric...

Sorry, that's the best I can do...

I thought the flange was held on with the stock ones and only give you the header bolts if you decide to use them or stock? hummmm..

Speed freaks were about to tune most of it out by dumping more fuel. haha

no. I was barley able to fit under there. If I had a lift I might have. Haha I still need bolt info. I called 2 fords and all they can tell me is that its a 10mm

Might as well get the car way up in the air and pull one from the other side, then we'll go shopping. Otherwise, wait for Monday and call MAC.

No, the MAC shorties come with their own studs and nuts - they are not the same size as the Ford ones - they are larger and a different thread pitch...

The "studs" you are talking about are the studs that hold the header to the engine - those you can keep the ford ones on some of the ports - others, the pipe is too close to the head to use them...

The studs I am talking about are the ones that hold the shorty to the H-pipe (the ones missing in your photo). Again, MAC sends a part with their header that is NOT compatible with the Ford part, I had them in my hand last night side-by-side and they are a different size and thread pitch... The MAC stud is bigger and coarse threaded.

You might try taking one of the nuts of the driver's side and using that to find a match at the store - the original stud is 2.5" long and has an unthreaded section in the middle.

I told him that 45 minutes ago. Does he listen to me? NOoooo... guess I'll just sit here playing with my Whipple pullies. Loves me? Loves me not. Loves me? Loves me not. etc etc, 3.625 vs 3.375

Like I said from day one, put the stock manifolds back on:moon2:.

If you're going to do headers, go long or go home!

(anybody care to take the bait on the last sentence?)

And don't give me the line "Everything is bigger in Texas." Mythbusters disproved that. :naughty:

Well... yesterday I fought just to get the flange up a little to screw it back in.. but it was like welded on.. so I got ticked and took it to midas to lift the thing and put the 10mm stock bolts on (which do work). Anyway. I picked it up today and I STILL have the p151a error and same rpm going down when I step on the gas(until its warm). The on difference is that I noticed my narrow band gauge read very lean and also when I decelerate I get more loud back fire.

From what I read these are the other things that can cause this

· Contaminated HO2S sensor or connector (coolant, water, silicone, fuel, oil, etc.)
· Chafed/damaged wiring
· Crossed HO2S signal/signal return wiring
· PCM

My only hope is to send it to ford for testing only to see if they can pin point the issue. I'm getting really tired of this shit =-/

not anymore. I was hoping that would have solved all our issues.. the only other thing we were worried about was the other o2 that is connected before the cat. its the one the is almost on the tranny with the green connector. That flange was laying on it for a looong time.. maybe it got messed up..
