God bless America Swedensky, your s197 is the sexiest s197 of all s197s. Want so hard.

In other less-important news, I painted my tire letters so I could be like the cool kids.

I really love the way it turned out. I did them with a Sharpie oil-based paint pen, found at Home Depot.

Chris that looks great. Not too over-the-top because of the minimal Invo lettering. I might try this cuz I have Invos too. You just used a white Sharpie paint pen? Any particular tip size? Fine point? Thanks

great shots dude. beautiful car. love the gt500 front

what suspension are you and the black one on?

thanks! I think this bumper was originally yours anyway! I'm using Eibach R1 coilovers and I think Sam is on Sportlines but his drop is perfect!

Find myself going back and forth between the car and her ass. Both look really good.

haha thanks she'll be flattered to hear that, but I don't know if I'll tell my fiancé ;)

Great pics. Your car is beautiful. Simple, clean mods go great with white.

thanks! I'm looking into a few changes but not for sure on anything yet!

Bahahaha! You're right, Chris, I never knew. Now I know where that black door ding came from! Your GF is in trouble! :asshat:

And your tires... looking very cool!

lol!! I can fix it I promise!

Looks awesome guys!
We need to meet in Steele Al.Friday night:)

Man I would be down for this. S197 forum meet in the middle of nowhere Alabama! I've always wanted to go to that track. Never been to the 1/4.

Love the letters!

Thanks!

It's the new cool thing to do these days... lol.

It is, lol. Everything always comes full circle. Yours looks great too.

Art stores sell it? I fudged up my letters with a paint marker that left streaks. I need to go and correct it now.

I looked at Michael's and Hob Lob but they only had the water-based ones, which will wash off with water. I got mine at Home Depot. This is the exact thing I bought:

I tried the red first, came out pink. Then tried the silver... looked good but it was meh, tried the gold and I knew that was the one.

I've only driven the car like 3 times since, but they still look perfect after a few sidewall-flexing corners. Also looks great with tire dressing on top of them.

It does come off really easy with rubbing alcohol, so you can try the different colors.

What are you guys using for the tires? I tried a paint market but it just looked like shit.

Idk what is the best but you should consider yellow for yours. Just throwing that out there. It looks amazing!

This is the guy that really kind of started the painting your tires thing IMO.

LOL yep! The OG.

When you write it on, does it show the streaks?

A little bit. Just make sure you have a really good liquid flow to the pen.

In the right light, if you look up really close you can see where the pen drew in the middle of the fat INVO letters. Nobody will notice it though. Really, really faint. Also I pretty much only did 1 coat and then touched up a few areas.

Great info. Thanks Chris. Never would have guessed that was gold. Looks like off white in the pics. Thanks for the alcohol tip also. Great to know the paint is easily removable. Can't believe you didn't go with pink. :yuck::crazy:

Tried Home Depot... Wasted 20 minutes of my life I'll never get back.

They have them in stock but can't find them....

I plan on doing it on my track tires. I think in the other thread I mentioned the red rim and yellow letter combo.
