THIS.

And I'm so damned jealous of your color. I wish I'd held out for something other than black.

I see nothing wrong with the BOSS decal. He wasn't even calling it a 302 so what's the big deal?

But then again I had a Saleen Clone, never called it a true Saleen but if you are bothered by the fact the "other" people who don't know might mistaken his BOSS 226 for a 302 then you have a whole lot of other serious issues....WHO DA F CARES! CUZ RACECAR! LOL

The complaining about "clones" is dumb. People have been putting Saleen, Roush, Cobra, GT500, etc pars on a V6 or GT cars for years. Even if you don't use the decals you are still making your lesser model look like a higher model.

Who really cares? Its better than a dumb civic.

I have a Saleen, not a clone, its just a GT with a body kit and a blower.

That silver 09, either that car, or one absolutely identical to it was for sale at the dealership up here for a minute back in 2010.

If you're talking about mine, it's not the same car lol.

That's look clean and ready for the warm weather to get here!
Thanks man! I'm very lucky I don't have to daily her through this bad winter.

Thanks man! Black is just as good too! I definitely have fallen in love with this color. If they offered it on the '15s I'd have one in the garage right now.

Your car looks great! I sometimes fantasize about painting my car grabber blue. My favorite mustang color of all time.

Haha, thanks! Mine as well, crossing fingers they offer it on the '16 or '17 but doubtful lol

Love your car, but I gotta disagree on the above. Your Saleen Mustang was totally re-done in a separate factory either in California or Troy, Michigan. In addition to body kit and blower, the suspension and interior was re-done. Saleen specific wheels were added. A Saleen re-tune(although very conservative) was performed. The result was a new model, an S281SC, that was warrantied by Saleen, not Ford. A lot of engineering and design went in to making your car.

I understand the what went into building my car. My point was at the end of the day all of the "higher end" mustangs are still mustangs. I just think its silly to get bent out of shape by someone using a boss style decal but its cool to put a GT500 bumper on a GT. I mean really its no different.

Just do what you want to your car and be happy.

You mean.... other than acting like they shelled out the coin for a real Shelby/Saleen/Roush whatever? It's the badges that are the issue IMO. Even if I converted the entire bodywork over from a GT to GT500, I would never put the badges on it. Cause it's not real. It's like walking around with a fake Rolex on. It's cheesy and makes you look like a dumb ass when called out on it.

The boss stripe with the 227 is a murky issue.... at least it doesn't say anything more than it is. But to the commoner, it seems the same. I once heard someone looking at a Jack Roush Signature on a dashboard say, "look, Carroll Shelby signed this one".

It just seems weak to me to add badges in a sad attempt to get more respect for money that was never spent.

Now this is about money spent and respect? It's a freakin' mustang. Who cares. If we base our level of respectability on hiw much we spent on a car, we have other issues. Hiw do you know he even cares abiut hiw much he spent. He's proud of his car that he spent HIS money on.

Geez we take our cars way too seriously.
