Option for option, the Mustang has always been cheaper. That is why Chevy had to sell a "BASE BASE" model (steel wheels and everything else possible cheap) to get a model that was cheaper than the base Mustang V6.

Comparing a GT to a 2ss, I pulled that curb weight straight from Chevy's site for the specs on an automatic, fully equipped 2ss.

Curb Weight:
3810 lb
3884 lb
4226 lb
1st is the PP mustang, 2nd is the 1le Camaro and 3rd is the R/T Scat Pack

Edit: If if I messed up by not selecting the 401A, if its the same as the 2SS, the price only comes up $1.7K on the Mustang.

2nd Edit: Fixed the Mustang PP and used the 401A package to be the same as the 2SS package.

Sure, but the Dodge has a better weight:HP ratio than both at 8.7:1. That translates to being MORE capable, not less.

And the Mustang has a better weight:HP ratio than the Camaro at 8.9:1.

Truth is, the 1LE comes in last at a bloated 9.9:1.
