My new whip. Was stock with 18" wheels 2 weeks ago. Now has SR springs, thespoilerstore spoiler, Brembo wheels obviously.

Thanks, I hope to have the 15" GT500 fronts on sometime this summer too, and the rear wheels will be 20's, so the brakes will look smaller then, but I'm still happy I got them done. Having that much more swept area is only good.

How did you get them powdercoated or painted?
I am looking at ordering a new set from ford and getting them done in red. Do you have to tear them down? can you replace parts or do they have to be replaced?

I had mine powdercoated (my four Pistons also). The six Pistons have to have the Pistons and seals and all removed before the oven, the four Pistons need to be opened and taped off inside.

I'm getting the 4 piston so I can still drin drag wheels, can you explain more about disassembly and masking?

They are two halves bolted together. After you separate them you must (CAREFULLY) remove the Pistons and seals and boots. If you haven't done this before I found the easiest way is to put an air compressor to the valve and blow them out but I put a small block in the caliper to keep the piston from exiting completely.

Then when you powdercoat them you have to mask off all of the surfaces that will touch something else (back to back with the other half, where bolts are put in, etc) because the coating will be too thick if done wrong for the assembly to go back together.

Or if you like grabber blue you can just buy my four Pistons =)

You won't be able to see the new mods once they're installed, so I figured I'd show it off here ;)
