I have buddies with Hellion kits, no clearance issues.
Cmon man we get it, you like hellion. No need to come into his build thread and derail it every chance you get. Let the people who are interested in what he is doing enjoy it. I for one am very interested.

That would be the least of my worries with the hellion!!! Like the tire rubbing issue or it floating the valves!
I don't think it was floating valves........at least this one wasn't. It has springs in it. So I can't say about a completely stock car. This has a bigger problem springs aren't going to, and didn't fix.

Just saw this thread and read the entire thing. Can't believe the trolls and dick suckers all over hellion's nuts haha. I came out believing CPRsm was the one who was right and had proof his kit is legit. The others are just whining. Good shit CPRsm

Very cool! Welcome as an advertiser!

849 is pretty impressive! Do you know what the SAE # was?
You know I was at the dyno shop the other day and looked at the numbers again and the 849 was corrected. 853rwhp was uncorrected. IDK where I got a 25rwhp loss corrected. Must have been thinking about another car for some reason. As soon as I get some damn time I'll be going back. Gonna make her spool a good bit faster this time.

Late Jan is a slight possibility. Not sure on the cost yet though. Will heavily depend on turbo pricing, and if I include the k-member or have BMR do the job. This turbo is 1500 damn dollars but the best one I think for the job, with TONS of room to grow. Base turbo will do more than anything I have seen on the market by far, and more than even some of their upgrades, without sacrificing low end.

Looks like 3 of these are going to be built here pretty quick. One local and two being shipped in.

Here's some info I can share right now. This was a 13 psi pull.

Hellion intercooler vid with temps
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8SX0HFloI3w

Testing my intercooler so far has shown good results, even with the turbos way out of range. 6-6.5 psi was netting a 4-6 deg increase in inlet rise with no air across the core. Higher boost was only showing 11-14 increases. Vid was taken but SCT's new software does something to the screen and it won't focus on the high's and lows. But we weren't quite to 13 psi. We'll get the old livelink in there so it's easier to compare to the vid above. And then run it at 13psi for a direct head to head look.

We used the procharger intercooler to save time on the instal seeing how it was already there. We do have all the faith in the world with the Hellion intercooler though
Anytime you fellas would like to jump in and show your logs.
Wasn't the hellion cooler originally on the car in the vid. Then you took it off and put the procharger on?

Hey Dustin,
I think you are confusing two different cars. We have a white 2011 that belongs to the shop owner, which is the one running an 82mm Precision mid-frame turbo charger and a Procharger Stage 2 intercooler. (hellions intercooler was never on our shop car, since the Procharger system came off and the hellion system went on in one day to get ready for the 5.0 Mustang Magazine KOTS competition) The other is a customers car, which is lowered on 20" rims. His car is running the 67mm precision with billet wheel and the standard Hellion intercooler. We did build a drop bracket to bring the Hellion intercooler sit lower behind the bumper to allow for more direct air to hit the surface. That was done based on the owners request.
I'll get with Chris to see if he can pull up some of the dyno session logs with IATs. I can't promise them today, but I'll see what I can do.

Driveshaft showed up today. Worked on the water and cell last night. Got the sending unit measured, cut and installed. Evap core is about in. This is going to be on a thermostat switch. We'll crank it down as far as we need depending on what the fuel likes. Just need a screen for the ice and we're good.

Thanx sir. Time for stoopid.
We take down pipes seriously here lol. It is a full 5in down pipe. More area in the tubing than twin 3in down pipes. Advantage is in expansion when it comes into such a large tube, it cools and creates a pressure drop. That leaves more room for more exhaust, and creates a bigger pressure differential across the turbine. Basically means faster and better breathing with no trade off other than finding the room! Breathe it shall.
