Factory trunk lid weight was 19 pounds. I removed 8.2 pounds of bracing and I will use dzus fasteners and rail to attach it now. I could save more weight by switching to carbon fiber, but I think for now I will keep all factory body panels on the car. Plus the extra weight in the back isn't necessarily a bad thing.

I'm now working on the Lexan front windshield. It weighs 8.8 pounds. According to the spreadsheet in the "How much does it weigh thread" the OEM windshield weighs 28 pounds. I'm using 1/8" thick since I have a center support.

I considered the carbon fiber dash, but I've actually removed a lot of weight from this one and I like the looks of it a lot better.

I've been working on mounting the deck lid with dzus fasteners. Very time consuming.
These are some brackets that I fabricated to mount the lower part of the deck lid to:
