Testing the waters, thinking about selling the hood to buy headers. Anybody interested? Shipping will be a PITA! I'd like to do local. (located in Waco, TX). I would really like to sell/trade with someone who has a Tungsten car because I have alot invested. Test price 800? Same hood as in the sig

Hey, glad to see ya on this forum! But WTF, you wanna sell that hood?

BTW folks, I've seen it in person. Niiiiiiiiiccccccceeeee!!!

I'd give you something for it, but not 800. And of course being local, I'd be able to pick it up somewhere local.

Hey man! Long time no see? I seriously love this hood, but the racer in me wants something that will give more power! I really want some longtube headers and o/r midpipe along with a dyno tune. Thats why I'm posting this thread. I know the price is a little high, but I cant afford to lose too much money. I wishing that another Tungsten guy will want to grab this, with anyone else the cost of a repaint will kill my price.

I guess I'll accept offers for LT's and o/r midpipe maybe a few other things, lol. Make an offer if you wish, i'm really open to anything.

Just out of curriosity though, is the hood really 'slowing you down'?
You have plenty of room for headers and pretty much anything else.
And if the hood helps remove engine heat, hell I'd keep it! These dang things run so hot under the hood that being able to vent out that heat is a real benefit (hence my possible interest).

You can do long tubes and a tune, and also a cai, and you'll gain some power just in those.

So....did those few runs at the track hook you?

Lol, Its not that the hood is slowing me down...its that I dont have money for exhaust. Racing at the track this season really got me hooked! Thats why i'm looking at buying a set of tires for the rear as well. I'm not to the point where every 1/10th matters so weight is not a concern, just finances :/

I love that hood and would consider it if you didn't live so far away. The price might be a little on the high side though.

Gotcha! Yeah, sorry for talking you into making those track passes :(.

Swapping your hood for one of the same color + cash may be possible.
Keep you eyes open on craigslist, too, there and dfw and austin.

I still have the my oem hood so i'd only swap for one with a hood scoop maybe?

I can come down a bit in price....as for shipping...if you can figure it out, i'll do it:thumb: Texas guys, I'm sure we can meet 1/2 way if your far :D

EDIT: TexasBlownV6: I'm going to get some tires and have you beat on the track next season!!! lol

I will also say the hood it great (i've seen it in person)!... I believe he had it painted at a Ford dealership. They retail for $559.95 Plus shipping. Not to mention painting so it really isn't to far off on price if Bret finds the right buyer(a tungsten owner wanting this hood :thumb:).

Just my .02 but have you ever looked into shipping Greyhound? yes the bus company. I once got quoted to ship a hood from NJ to Iowa for $65 next day, only catch is you have to drop it off and pick it up at a Greyhound bus station. Just an idea if anybody is interested. Good Luck.

Next mod will be longtubes and o/r midpipe! (along with a dyno tune from HPP maybe). Thats why I want to sell the hood! I've found some great deals on LT's but I have NO CASH!!!! ARG. I'm ready to race :D I also want to get a few runs on some tires before I buy a pair :D I can't wait until I get my 12!

Never thought about that! It seems like it could work but I would worry about them breaking/scraching something :/ You never know huh?
