Transmission help

I have a 2006 gt auto 5R55S, needs new trans. Why are the sites showing that 2008 5R55S is not interchangable with a 2006 Mustang GT. It seems there is a difference pre 2/6/2007 and post but cannot seem to find whats the different. I thought the transmission was the same 2005 -2009? has anyone swapped a 07-09 Mustang GT 5R55S in a 05-06 GT?

I am plannign to do a 6R80 swap but need something as a quick fix until I can as this is currently being used as my DD.

This is weird, I cannot find anything on the 5r55 auto trans difference pre adn post 2/2019.

Can you link us to said site? The only thing I can think of is I believe Ford changed the language it's ECU operates with. Spanish Oak or something like that. I know tuners for this era of cars has an 05-06 tuner and a different one for 07-10. Maybe this transmission comes with a tranny control module or something where the operating system is not compatible or something like that. But when I bought my 5R55S I don't ever remember seeing different trannies for the 07 up.
