The 5R55S finally bit the dust in my 08 Stage 3 Roush and I have a T56 Magnum XL on the way. Do I need the engine wiring harness from a manual or can I splice in new connectors to the Automatic harness?

Isn't the T56 a manual transmission? I think you're going to have issues with the computer, no? And then you have a clutch switch instead of the neutral safety. Do you have a clutch pedal? How about lines to operate the clutch? There is a lot more than just getting wires spliced. Most people I have heard doing this go get a manual tranny harness. I think you lose cruise control too.

Right now I have an engine cranks, no start issue after the T56 Magnum XL swap from an automatic. Used the Bowler wiring harness and Mantic twin disc. I also installed a DW400 Fuel Pump and 52lb GT500 injectors. PCM retuned by VMP. Fuel pump is turning on and don't see any fuel leaking. I'm going to follow the Ford diagnostic manual and will post my findings.

I got DTCs P0122 and P0223. Looks like TPS wiring is worn through somewhere. I have 5V and 325 Ohm to ground on ETCREF pin and TP2 Pin has 3.5V. No resistance to ground on ETCRTN Pin.

Hey man, just checking to see what all you did and if it ever worked out. Did you just use the conversion harness sold on lmr or did you mess with other things yourself? I eventually want to swap mine and haven't found information on just going straight to the T56 Magnum from automatic.

From what I know, the TPS wires are a good place to start looking because that's what both of those codes are saying. If you're getting a full 5V from it, then that's already a problem on its own because it should stay under 5V and be around 0.5V from it. However, 5V with 325 ohms is 0.015 amps, which is not a significant amount for many circuits. I would recommend either replacing the sensor if the damage is too extensive, or using heat shrink and a solder kit to repair the wiring and see if it works.
