$99 plus $13 for connector if you need it. Install was straightforward. Just follow instructions.

I just did too and is working great, the only thing is that when the first time I turned the key on the 4A fuse just blew, replaced with a 5A I had and is working, really weird.

I just use a push-button that controls 12V wired to the solenoid. There was a link to the pigtail earlier in this thread.

Works great...no fancy black box needed. $15.00 or so. Winning.

Hey guy's ordered my T56 magnum XL from JPC last week, decided to preemptively replace my 136k mile factory zombie clutch before it bites the dust, since it seemingly refuses to die and things escalated quickly lol. I will be doing the install myself so I have been reading up, also saw DiMora's install thread, any tips, links, or things to keep in mind while doing the install would be greatly appreciated. thanks for the input in advance for the input.

Exedy 500 clutch. Wired the reverse lockout solenoid to the brake light circuit.
No Problemo.

.

Oh that is a bad idea!!! Imagine braking into a turn, getting your shifting pattern wrong, enter reverse, and BOOM!!!
Plus think about how many cycles that solenoid will go through every time to press the brake pedal...

What fluid is everyone using with the newer trannies that have thr hybrid syncros?

I have tried numerous expensive fluids and I am hear to say the best oil...that makes the transmission shift smoothly is Mobil 1.

I have CF on first and second and hybrid on all others. I am using Pennzoil Synchromesh and like it a lot. I have used Mobil 1 ATF and it didn't shift as smooth to me. The Mobil 1 did seem to perform a little better when it was cold though. Tremec recommends either one, but only requires Dexron III ATF.

What is a thr hybrid synchro?

Yours is a newly done 6060?

Hybrid syncros are their newest design, came out maybe 6 months ago? Mines a fresh build, just under 500 miles. 1-2 is kind of notchy when trying to shift fast at wot all the other gears are silky smooth

How long have you been running syncromesh? What kind of driving do you do?

Ok, the "thr" confused me, lol.

I am using synchromesh too, my trans came new with it from Rockland and due to the issue I had with the clutch I changed it and used pennzoil synchromesh too, as said, is a little notchy while cold but once is warm shifts great.

My bad, on my phone lol. How long have you used the syncromesh? Did you try mercon III to compare? Im scared to switch fluids after seeing how tempermental the tr3650 was

Ok, my trans is built by RSG, is a T-56 magnum with different gearing and CF synchros, bought new, they send it with synchromesh and don't recommend using anything else and yes it still has the D-III sticker on it, lol. We have a customer car with another magnum using Mobil ATF, both trans shift right at speed, the other tend to be nicer while cold than mine and have no issues, mine once hot is just amazing, shifts like my wife's Fiesta.

None of the trans has been converted from either oil to the other, so can't tell.

Here a various members that switched to synchromesh and liked it better.

You won't harm anything switching looks like, more than the money spent in oil, in your situation, I would test it and see how it performs.

I always hear the thing with the ford transmissions using MTF is based on keeping a single trans oil for most of the cars auto or manual, I don't give much credit to that tough.
