Tuning for WOT lean

Okay, my tuner said he left the WOT AFR open so if I still see a 11.3 or so at wot then I can lean it out a bit.....I am just not sure which way on the options leans it out. He said just go 2% or so at a time.

Anyone know what it says on the tuner to lean it out? I just would rather be safe than sorry.

I'm not trying to be mean, but if you can't find the menu on your handheld you probably shouldn't be messing with the AFR...

If you must, it should be defined as something really easy. Just go through the menu on your hand held. Jon is really good at what he does and I don't know that I would want to mess with one of his tunes.

I know how to find it on the menu, there are 2 ways you can change it.

also Jon told me to change the tune, and it is labeled at afr wot so I am pretty sure I know where it is at on the handheld

What the tuner does is change BFT top row, a positive percentage will make it richer a negative will make it leaner, I assume you might be being commanded .790 and getting around 11.3 (guessing that value is the leanest or an average along the whole run the minimum).

The right value would around 3%, I don't suggest you going to 4% at once, first test 2% (that guess would command close to .810 that may put you closer to the 11.6-11.7) and see how it goes, then decide if going any leaner will do. (The default open settings won't allow you to go leaner than 4%)

ahhh so that's what this reading at the end is lol, lambda?
it stays stuck at .82 all the way to the end.

It is commanded lambda, not actual.

The weird thing on that log is how slowly it goes into open loop.

Wideband o2 will be worthwhile. If your commanded and actual are the same and your car is running too rich you can lean it out. N/A cars are generally leaner than boosted to begin with (12.5 versus 11.5:1). I would always rather be on the rich side than the lean side though especially running pump gas as its not very consistent.

If that was meant for me, it's because the only step I have next is a $500+ dyno tune. Brenspeed has already supplied me with my current tune. Spending $500 on my moddest mods seems high.

you mean richer. the lower the number, the richer you are. The higher the number, the leaner you are.
