What a joke! SCT is the absolute worst company to try and get help on THEIR products. Ask a question on support and nothing found on everything I try

Does anyone know what a stock tune looks like?
Load tune by selecting processor code. That is a stock file.

I had no issues with SCT support. They even let me have access to a second processor code for the control pack strategy. They will not help with actual tuning.

I don’t remember when SCT changed models, but the one I bought in ‘05 from Bama was not compatible and would not update to the files I needed to install my supercharger in ‘17 from Brenspeed. I had to replace it. Then, I had to replace that one after someone broke into my garage and stole and other tools. Luckily Lito was able to replace my tunes once I sent him the new serial number.

ok I got the right tuner from Todd and I set my gears and tire size, cked it and it's dead on. then I set redline rpm and idle speed and added a jlt cai. I raised rpms but now car idles at like 600 on verge of dying. More tomorrow. I can't believe this car has had cams and cai and never been tuned. Next is cmcv deletes. hoping to get that big surge at 3100 smoothed out. Also need to turn off back O2 sensors. Then headers go on and data log. Oh I see lots of Michiganders frequent this forum :)

Glad you got it all sorted out man

Modding car is ruff now A days if u don’t tune your own car

No canned tune
Or
remote tune
No matter how many revision's

Will ever get you the full potential of car not like some one skilled sitting in your car listening and feeling what a cars is doing

Numbers alone on a screen can’t not tell you everything you need to know about what’s going on with a car

You should most defintly look into the pro racer package from sct and start doing things on your own learning curve is steep but well worth it

Tuner works good. I now have cai, cmcv delete, 91 Oct and I changed some parameters(idle speed and rpm limit). Car is running great. I don't have a tune for cams but it's really making power. Driveability is very much improved also. Hard to tell if these are making car faster or not so I got a dragy to help with that. The big surge at 3100 is gone and it's a smooth transition thru rpms now. Ported heads and headers(I have) would be a great improvement but tires and wheels are probably next up as traction is horrible.

BAMA/AM is the only one that offers free tunes for life after you've paid for the initial tune, but that's because they need a lifetime to get their tunes right. Stay away from them.
Steeda may still offer tunes for the 4.6 3V but since they only sold basic bolt ons like a CAI, pulleys, delete plates, and axle back exhausts, I doubt they'd have tunes for anything beyond those mods.
Another you could try is JDM Engineering. They're Ford guys and would certainly help you, but they're a bit far away in NJ.
Of all the US based tuners, arguably the top pick is Brenspeed. They've been tuning the 4.6 3V since it was launched and have tunes for almost every N/A and FI set up apart from possibly turbos. They have a shop in Texas so you could give them a visit.
However the most popular tuner is based in Caracas Venezuela and his name is Manuel Pazo. Everyone knows "the 3V Whisperer" as Lito. He's raced 3V Mustangs and can remote tune for every set up. Lito's email is [email protected] and his website is https://www.tudyno.com/ . He is THE MAN.
How much more power could Lito get me if I was planning on doing my own 91 octane SCT tune with just a CAI?
