I'm rebuilding my engine and I want to put in forged rods and pistons but I live in California. My question is can I run the stock tune with only different rods and pistons everything else will be stock. I only want to run the stock tune because I want to put cams in it but I have to smog the car in a little less than a year. So after I smog the car I won't have to for 2 more years and then I will put the cams in.

Be fine especially if it’s stock compression ecm won’t even know u did any thing
