Man, the video really puts it in perspective. It takes some balls to get that sucker up to 180. Nice job.

Not that anyone cares (apparently) but your run plots out to around a 12.2 @ 126.6 on an unimproved dragstrip. heh

I'd ask about getting a tune, but I'm one of those loser stick shift guys :yuck:

It's not bad, the car is pretty damn stable. There are some ruts in the surface that move the car around, but I didn't hit many on that particular run.

You plotted really close. The pbox has a sample of 1321.39' @ 126.65. I really have to wonder if this car will trap 128+ on a real dragstrip now. We'll see.

What kind of hp does that car have?? Full interior?

Never been on a dyno, don't see any need for one. It has a rear seat delete since it would have been silly to leave it in there with a roll bar. I use a Corbeau seat. Weight is pretty meaningless when doing these events though.

Congratulations Kris, awesome run and it being NA makes it even more amazing.

You think the CJ intake helped some? (know that the final impression will come when you get to the 1/4)

You guys make me want 3:55 gears and a 6 speed auto. LOL

Just get a 6060.

Just get a 6060.

That does not have a 'D' on the shifter and there is some strange pedal needed to shift gears. :highfive:

Have you changed the toe on the car for those speeds?

Thanks Manuel. I do think it helped. There's a dynojet I can use about anytime I want, maybe I'll drive it over there sometime. Not a number I care much about, but it should be fairly high now.

It does have heim joints for outer tie rod ends, so I suspect it moves around less than the stockers would.

Hmmm. 2.3 Whipple/SW headers/CJ TB, 629 RWHP, and geared up to 3.08 to stay out of OD. Same mile speed and I kill him to the half. Color me unimpressed with "project deep impact". Perfect example of how dyno numbers mean exactly jack squat.

EDIT:
That didn't take long, they took the video down!

I guess you pissed them off by doing it without the power adder. So how long does it take to slow down from that speed? How longs the run out at the end? That surely is an impressive speed.

A car like mine has gobs of room to stop, there's a half mile or so, then you could still make the turn onto the other runway at fairly high speed if you were in trouble. I have the smaller 11" Baer brakes on the front so that I can drag race on 15" wheels, and I still only lightly use the brakes there.
