Would like to break into 12's na and then 11 with turbo thats it

So you plan to break into the 11's without a roll bar?? Where do you race as most tracks might let you slide a bit past the 13.49 bar requirement, but getting into the low 12's is something most would not tolerate... at least for no more than one or 2 runs.

Not trying to be a jerk with roll bar questions, just interested in seeing how other people's bars come out as I plan to add one to mine sometime down the road. Saw several very slick custom bolt-in 6 point bars with swing-outs that were done by Piper Motorsports.

Aluminator block runs 8.7 to 1 and the roush p-51 runs 8.5 to 1. The stock 03 cobra had 8.5 to 1 compression on 8lbs of boost. So whats wrong with 9 to 1 ? Its a 15cc diamond piston btw.

I thought the requirement for a cage is 11.499 and lower so he could be in the 11's and not need a cage I believe. If I'm wrong, please correct me since I'm currently prepping my motor to go blown next year and I'm going to shoot for 550-600 RWHP so I could possibly even hit high 10's if I work the suspension and weight correctly.

It is different for a convertible.

I´m running 9.1:1 on my turbo, and if that´s what Livernois recommends for our FI stangs then it´s sacred words in my books... then again I´m an atheist
Best of luck with the build :thumb:

...Compression gonna be around 9 to 1 for the turbo.

...a custom cam wouldnt cost much more...

True.

Not sure why u think 9 to 1 is low, its higher than stock and perfect for boost
...

Really?

The track that i go to isn't NHRA regulated.

If it's an actual track, that means their insurance costs are higher...

...never mind these ass clowns!...

See above

God almighty. Cages in coupes vs. rollbars in verts. The fun never ends. lol

...then again I´m an atheist...

Ohh, that's gonna hurt.
