Do you have a kit for the GT500 yet? Your last comment was that someone was testing a prototype and you would then make a determination.

I can put togther one, only difference is the rail connection is different for the gt500 rails.

Not sure what your talking about testing a prototype?

I asked about whether you had a kit available for my '07 GT500, and your response was that someone (a forum member, don't remember who) was testing it. You would wait to see if it was worthwhile (brought down duty cycles), and if so, would start selling it. This was in a series of PM's on February 19th.

Here's my setup with some GT500 rails. You can use either the GM style connector or the same type that is used at the firewall. I chose the latter because it had a more secure fit.

Yeah if you guys want a quote on lines and fittings for your setup just let me know. You would just have to source a few clamps or an efi fitting. Here is the link to the russell connector to run a 6an line to the rail, they also make one for an 8 an line as well. I would personaly run an 8an line if your gonna upgrade, upgrade lol

Here you can see this fitting on a 6an line

I need me one of these!!

That is quite a colorful combo you have there!

With my PPRV gone, I can notice a significant increase in throttle response post shift. It does make starting a little more tedious but it was worth it imo. I have to prime the pump twice but then it starts right up.

I know when Jeremy was do his SS fuel line this weekend it was tough to get the fitting off the line once it was happy on there, hopefully you don't have that issue.

That was in response to you asking about direct duty cycle difference results. Nothing about a gt500 specific upgrade that I recall. They are available for both. Like mentioned its just a different fitting at the rail if you have stock gt500 rails.

It needs a name. Something like "S&H fuel line". It's an easy way to gain fuel headroom and should be very popular.

Would this upgrade work well connected to a set of drake fuel rails and line kit that I currently have on the care.

resurrecting this thread...

has anyone retained the OEM fuel line from the OEM fuel hat (GT or GT 500) to the inlet of the fuel filter, but upgraded the restrictive OEM fuel filter to Fore Innovation's F10 fuel filter? The problem with doing this is the inlet of the Fore Innovations fuel filter is -10 ORB. This has always presented a problem as the largest straight male EFI fitting that I could find is only -8 ORB.

After a lot of research I have found a -10 male ORB to -8 female ORB adapter. In the attached picture the male fitting is -10 ORB and female port is -8 ORB. Adapter fitting is available with a Viton o-ring. This will allow the previously mentioned -8 ORB straight male EFI fitting to thread into the inlet of the Fore Innovations fuel filter. Cost of fitting & o-ring is less than $10. Only down side is the fitting is made of anodized steel.

The -10 ORB on the outlet of the Fore Innovations F10 fuel filter is not an issue as that can easily be connected to a -8 AN fitting.

Why would anyone want to do this? This allows you to remove the restrictive OEM fuel filter and replace it with Fore Innovations F10 fuel filter while retaining the OEM fuel hat (GT or GT 500) . This represents a considerable cost savings if you don't need more fuel supply than the GT or GT 500 fuel pumps can deliver.

Fore sells the 10orb to 8an male for their filters.
http://www.foreinnovations.com/product_p/straight.htm

But yeah I haven't seen a 10 orb to efi. It's one of those things if your at the point of upgrading the filter/rails etc most guys spend the extra and replace the lines, good find though.

There are a couple fittings you can use to retain a gt or gt500 oem hat and still run an 8an line. You can use the russel efi fitting earlier in the thread to attch to the hat outlet or retain the oem quick disconnect fitting.

that's not what I'm looking for...

I want a -10 ORB to 3/8" male EFI push on fitting. This will allow me to retain the OEM fuel line between the fuel hat and fuel filter inlet - thus avoiding the cost of upgrading the fuel hat as I already have the GT 500 fuel pumps

I'll PM you later with a parts list of Fore Innovations parts I would like to order
