So obviously everyone knows about the T56 Magnum XL. I don't have that kind of money unfortunately. I have been looking around online and have come across the TKO600SS.
Is that transmission a replacement for the TR3650 that can go into my 2010 GT? If so, do I need anything else to complete the swap besides the obvious 26 spline clutch/flywheel?
I seen the transmission for $2,400 on American Powertrain, is there anywhere else that anyone knows that may be cheaper? My TR3650 has been getting worse and worse, and the bad synchro noise is driving me absolutely insane! At my power levels I'm lucky that it has held up to my abuse this long.
Does anyone have any thoughts on any of this or better solutions for me? Maybe even a rebuild kit that is smoother and made for more power? Please guide me in the right direction. I would love to be able to just drop the $5,000+ on a T56 and be done with it but I just can't bring myself to justify that for a transmission :omfg:

Search for 6060 swaps, there are a number of threads, BruceH IIRC has a write up on his swap.

You should be able to do a 6060 swap for around $2k. Disregard those who say that all remote shifters are crap. There is a world of difference between the 3650 and 6060. Larger gears, better syncros, and of course the larger and stronger input shaft.

You can also spend the same amount of money on a modified 3650 but why?

Most of the supporting parts can be bought from horsepower1 on ebay. Try LaPointe auto recyclers for the transmission. Call and ask for their best shipped price. The 07 and 08 versions have a .8 and .63 5th and 6th gear while 09+ has .74 and .5.

You also need a 26 spline clutch. Ebay has replacement disks for around $35 that are 26 spline and work with the stock pressure plate and flywheel. I don't know how well they work but I am quite certain that Saleen used them with the S281. I have one in my spare parts bin. I also have a GT500 flywheel, clutch, and pp.

The key is to constantly check ebay and buy the deals when you see them. It may take a few months to find everything at good prices so have some patience.
