Finally got to run the car since Orlando. Team Performance Products installed the PI converter and the Metco rear suspension components for me over the last month. Since FFW Atlanta was postponed I flew out to Bakersfield to run the West Coast Hot Rod Association season opener. Glad I did. First run out of the box netted an 11.117 @ 127.10. :shock:

Sixty foot clockings are still not quite what they should be and I'm starting to believe it is due to the conservative tune. Best so far is a 1.852. I think it just needs to be retuned to take advantage of the turbos. I will have this done before we run the FFW Baytown race in May.

Tomorrow is Qualifying so I'll see how hard I can push the tree. This four tenths pro tree is going to be a bitch but I did manage a .042 today. Got a few tricks up my sleeve that I'll be trying tomorrow. Still....this is one fast sumbitch. :evil:

I love racing at FAMOSO, I think its the best track in SOCAL. Great MPH, mid 10's for sure when you sort out the 60'.

I am no good at the 4/10ths pro tree. Even when I deep stage my reaction times are like .12X something. Horrible.

As Billy Bob would say..........

A TEN!!!!! A TEN!!!!! A FUCKIN' TEN!!!!!

Despite screwing myself out of contention at the WCHRA race in Bakersfield I did manage to do this..........

60' = 1.760
330' = 4.635
660' = 7.034 @ 102.01
1000' = 9.122
1320' = 10.887 @ 127.89

I can not thank the guys at Team Performance Products/Exile Turbo Systems enough for the power they have given me with this car. We need to have the converter loosened another 500 rpm or so and get the tune worked out but this thing is an animal. The Precision Industries converter allowed us to go from 11.75 at Orlando to this time today. The previous best runs were all performed with me deep staging the car. While this is great for reaction times it damn sure kills elapsed time. When I asked for one more run today I tried really hard to shallow stage the car but it did creep about three inches or so on me. Still.....a ten second car with nothing but a twin turbo kit and a small converter. The mph shows what the car is capable of running.

We are going to get another converter this week and have this one reworked as a backup unit. Then....a new tune along with the required pieces for sub-10 second runs and we're in business. Everyone involved with this car feels that 10.60's are not out of the question at the FFW Houston race. If it keeps the rods inside the block, that is. :roflmao:

I really have to thank Team Performance Products, Exile Turbo Systems, M&H Tires, Strictly Performance, Metco Motorsports, Ringers Gloves, and Rockett Brand Race Fuels for all the help and support. This pass should prove that the price tag of this kit is well worth it.

Instant badass....just add turbos. :evil:

Yep, told ya---Famoso is a good track

I would say 10.60's are easily in reach with that mph.

Very nice! And with a 1.7, more is on the table for sure! Congrats.
