Couple of days ago we brought this home.
My fiancee's son bought it, we borrowed a trailer from a friend and got the thing home.
'69 Mach 1 shell, needs all kinds of work, but he's psyched to take it on and resto-mod it:

That is awesome! Put a coyote engine in it! Or a used 3V you can get used 3V pretty cheap. I put a 3V in my 65.

Good deal. I hope he stays focused on building it. Should be a nice build.

If anything, he is definitely dedicated.
To whatever the cause might be.
He sets his mind to it, he does it.
He's built a few Honda engines already, in addition to his '04 Mach 1 he also has a 2000 Integra Type-R with an engine in it that he's built for it while the factory numbers-matching engine is being stored, he's also built a race engine that's in a hatchback Civic but about to be parted out, and he's most likely gonna build whatever engine is gonna go into the '69
But between going back to the base he's stationed at, getting deployed within the next couple/few months, and just life in general, it's gonna be a while before it'll be done, or even drivable.
I mentioned a possible Coyote drop-in, a cheaper option would be a 351/408 stroker.
The options are limitless ... I just wish I could work on it with him.

I've had the DOB blower prior to this and the install of a centri blower is about 3x more work. A million hose clamps and very tight clearances is just not to my liking so spent extra time making better clearances, neater hose routings (which you can't really see as its all in front of the engine under the head unit).

If I had to do it again I would do a PD blower next time.

After getting the car back from the bodyshop I finally got my side splitters and black billet grille installed.

Cervini's. They're the only ones who make a full replacement and not just an overlay that I'm aware of. Had no interest in the overlay whatsoever.

Before

After (pre-badge)

Just wish someone made some nice black billet hood vents to match for a decent price. The True Forged ones I've seen cost almost as much as this full grille does.

Cool, thanks, I'll look into it.
And yeah, TF seems to be like Porsche, if you have to ask ("how much?"), you can't afford it.
I like some of their products but I'll never be able to afford any of it

Tire shop got my 255/45s in. I love how they look compared to the 245s. Only got them for the rear for now because they were wore the fuck out. Got a little while before I have to replace the fronts.

I wish I would have gotten 255 for my rears. Is it really a noticeable difference over the 245s? Do you have a comparison image? Possibly with them side 2 side?

It might just be my mind's eye but it's a noticeable difference to me. About 1/4" taller than the 245. Look nice an meaty from the rear but didn't measure. I also like them because they are closer to factory 235/50s as far as circumference according to the tire calculator I have.

Now I've got about a month or so to decide if I want a square setup with 255 on the front also. Kinda like the mild stagger, but I like to rotate my tires to get the most mileage outta them.
