What have you done to your mustang today?

Finished up my long tube install today. I went from stock manifolds and lethal off road H, to Kooks 1-7/8s long tubes with catted X. Idk if its the cats or needing a revised tune but the car does not feel as strong down low. Kinda wanna get the off road sections of the mid pipe from kooks if they will sell it to me. That and the fact that now the steering wheel has play in it when it didn't before. I was reading it may be because the bolts on the knuckle were installed backwards so I will look at them tomorrow

Tune will help but you will lose low end power no matter what with long tubes. They are meant for mid to top end power gains. I would recommend Lito. You'll notice a huge difference. How's it sound?

test & tune at Capitol Raceway (MD) tonight... new p/b 60' of 1.644

First time out with the new 15" rear wheels/tires, still have some sorting out to do

first pass was with rears at 18psi cold, then 17.5, 17.5 and lastly 17.0 (had the air compressor with me, but didn't bother to adjust). Launching at 5k (ish).

I think I'll start with 18psi and work my way up next time out. I need to start datalogging my runs so I can see what I really launch/shift at.

Just changed the trans fluid in my "Shit"rag trans... definitely shifts smoother but still can't do the 2-3 shift at high RPM's... can't way for the Blowfish bracket to arrive!!!

Yeah I got the re tune, and it still feels a little weak down low. Well I am going to get rid of the cats and get a cobra jet mani and have the car dyno tuned and ill see then, Im just happy I got long tubes now. I fixed the steering as well the knuckle bolts were backwards.

If you are an automatic get Mike Roush to tune it; as BruceH said Lito does not tune 2011+.

He did the Vortech kit, converter, drive shaft, h-pipe and tuning all together so he just quoted me a labor price for all of it. Not sure what he would charge for just the converter by itself.

I lol'd when I saw you take the helmet OFF after the car got slideways after the first pass.. helmets will do that to a car

Basically made a harness for my gauges. Took most of the day and ran it through out the car and firewall, the only decent picture I took was the positives going towards the sjb, my friends say I went a little overboard for some gauges... nope, can't ever go over board in wiring.

Nice! You should notice some more power improvement. LoL I did the same thing on my steering shaft when I installed my longtubes. Couldn't figure out why my steering was sloppy, double checked and I installed the bolt backwards. Except when I did that I stripped the threads on it and had to run a small bolt and nut through it

Sorry guys didn't know Lito doesn't tune 2011+. He just nailed my tune so I like to promote his business. Installed me some adjustable lowers. You know what's weird? These solid heim joint bushings actually ride smoother than the factory rubber stuff.
