What have you done to your mustang today?

I love the 11 up and the Coyote but to me 11 and ups are so refined they are like driving a Cadillac compared to a 05-09. To me rawness left the mustang when the 11 and ups came. I am sure new edge guys say it left when 05's came out.. Lol I haven't driven a 15 yet. I am real curious to see how they ride. Everything I have heard is like what you said, it feels real refined.
Eventually I would like to go with either an 11-14 or 15up

Ya, don't even want to try it. I figure I don't want one now, driving one could change my mind... not saying it would... but why tempt myself.

I have no disrespect for the 11's and up, but I feel the same way. I feel like I managed to get my "classic look" mustang while getting updated technology. Even the seats and dash make me feel like I am in an old hot rod to some degree.... and I love that.

Now.... at times I wish the ride was better, but.... it adds character (or that's what I keep telling myself). I would also like a 2015 at some point... or a 2014 GT500, but not sure I could part with the Bullitt to get one. It would have to be a 4th.... and that's not an easy sell. LOL

I need one 21MM socket for the pony. Walk into Northern Tool and step up to the wall of socket goodness. They have these neat half inch socket holders. Well, I can't just put ONE socket on that holder can I?!? Fuck no! I strapped it on and FILLED that fucking socket holder up! I showed them how a BOSS rolls by god!

Well, today I actually did something with/to my Mustang.

I hooked it up to a battery tender.

I bought a dual-output unit about a week ago, but the 5-foot leads left a lot (about 25 feet, lol) to be desired.
So I ordered 2 25-foot extensions, moved the unit from next to the GF's Shelby where it was hooked up to her car, to the wall behind my car, and (fairly) cleanly ran the extensions forward to the Mustang battery locations, mine and the GF's.

I even went ahead and hooked up the little plug-in harnesses they provided, so that the harnesses are hooked up to the battery at all times, and I just plug in the extensions when I need to.

And the GF's battery also hooked up the same way:

And the unit on the back wall, next to the new poster of 50 Mustang years and above my brand-new tool box that I got as a X-Mas gift from the GF and finally put it together today :

Accumulated all the little parts, so dropped my cheapo supercharger coolant tank off to be converted into expansion/overflow tank at a local shop. If it fits after being modded up, I will order a moroso battery relocation kit.

Idling a little high since it had only been running for a minute or so.








Does anyone have any high RPM valve train clatter? My car did it before all of this, and is continuing to do it. If I ease into the RPMs, its quiet all the way to 6K+. If I floor it, it gets angry around 5K. All the lash adjusters, followers, timing stuff are brand spanking new.

Lol ... it's quite a bit lower than the mirror ... and I'm not changing that pipe since that's the pipe that carries all the liquid waste to the septic tank ... it definitely could've been closer to the wall, but now ... it is what it is.
It's definitely my parking spot though, the GF wants nothing to do with it, lol.
