Weighed it again, since installing the roll bar, seats, axles, etc. I'm back at 3720 lbs w/driver, the same as before the 4r swap, not too bad.

You do road course work with your car right? I have been looking at those and wondering how they are on the road course.

I really wanted RE-11's for dual purpose sunny day/track days but couldn't spend the $1100 it would cost. Double the cost of the NT-05's. I did A LOT of research on just the NT-05's. I've heard many different things on them. A lot of good actually. Of course the negatives you hear include they can get greasy and they are scary in the rain. You then come across the reviews and comments that say otherwise. I think it's all on how you drive. I have an open track in November so we'll see how they perform.

Apologies on the botched math . It was $624 shipped for the NT-05's. And @ $290 a tire for RE-11's that puts em at $1160 a set. So it wasn't too far off lol

What did it cost you to get them mounted and balanced? I was able to take advantage of the ebay sale and got a set of 285/35/19 Conti DW's for $840 shipped.

Got the MPR engine and the trans in. Found out the racecraft K-member and steering rack run the pinion shaft and ujoint right under the stock oil filter so I'll have to find an adapter for a remote filter.

And finally got to take a look at my stock crank sprocket. I got ridiculously lucky this didn't let go on one of the last few passes

Nice! Loved my DW's when I had em. It was $30 a wheel and then tax/supplies totaled $140. All my hook ups have moved to other jobs and the cheapest around is Tire Kingdom/NTB and I don't trust any of em. Poor customer service, etc etc.

It was a gamble that the block was good. It is funny how 2 years ago they were common and cheap as dirt and now they bring good money.

Paying to send him the motor and then have him appeal paypal for who knows how long just held zero interest for me.
