Decided to polish the valve covers. After months of work "when I get the chance", I finally got them stripped, smoothed, polished and re-painted between the fins. I ordered a Scott Drake round finned polished aluminum air cleaner that should be here Wednesday that should go well with the new look.

i was hoping i would get lucky .. Started spraying them and letting them soak last month .. Lesson learned the hard way

Installed new height-adjustable Steeda rear spring perches with new springs.
Now sits about a half-inch higher in the back than before, and has a 200-lb spring back there instead of the 175-lb Sports I removed

Thanks Brian, and yeah, me neither.
I need to let the new springs settle a bit more then will re-adjust as needed to keep the top of the wheel opening at 29" to the ground.
It was 28.5" before this morning.
Might even go to 29 1/8" - 29 1/4" for extra peace of mind
