Been in contact with shop #2 on my car -- they want to go back to stock and start over.

Quick recap -- after getting the supercharger installed and 800 miles of driving, a couple of the emissions tests weren't completing. Shop #1 that did the install did the initial tuning, but after some driveability issues they couldn't figure out, they had to outsource to shop #2 as 1) they had other projects that were backing up and 2) they were at a loss.

Shop #2 was able to address some driveability issues, but still can't get the O2's to read. They checked the tune, yes they're turned on. They checked the sensors, yes they're good. They checked the O2 wiring harness, yes it's good. They checked the main wire harness, yes that's good too.

At this point they want to return my tune to stock and rebuild. Shop #1 used SCT and that's the handheld tuner I have (X4), shop #2 uses HP Tuners, and I guess shop #2 must've tried to use the SCT tune as a starting point. So now they're reverting my PCM back to stock and rebuilding from there.

Hoping this is getting close to the end of the saga on this. I've driven the car maybe 3 weeks since the start of the year, dropped it off at shop#2 for a 'quick' check of the tune on April 21'st, and now we're at the 4th of July. Missed all the best driving weather.

Sorry to be a downer here, it's just been a long road ever since the engine blew in 2022. Been one issue after another between the engine rebuild and tuning issues.

I had an issue a few years ago where my '13 wouldn't go OBD ready. Drove the OBD cycle countless times over 1,000+ miles, still wouldn't go ready with the rear O2 sensors and the cat. Ended up driving the car with the tuner in the passenger seat datalogging, he made some changes to the fuel trims, the car went OBD ready on the way home, about 30-45 minutes later.
It was the tune all along!

What brand hubs/bearings did you install?

Moog. So not the best but not the cheapest either, never had a problem with their parts but first time for everything I suppose.

Yesterday I rolled it back and forth in the driveway, only got one squeak out of it rolling forward when I gave it a little more throttle and got up to about 10mph. Control arm is tight, ball joint is tight, hub nut is tight, cannot replicate the sound with weight off the wheel so I'm thinking it almost HAS to be the hub.. anything else wouldn't make such a cyclical noise at speed, under weight, I wouldn't think..

May just grab one from the parts store today and throw it in, they're not overly expensive..

all the stuff we can buy these days, is not quite as good as the OLD OEM Parts. My former 1968 Mustang (sold to a buddy of mine ) .. still has the OEM Rear axle bearings ! ALL of them.. 1st valve cover gaskets also. NO Joke

Hit 70k miles in my 2008. About 1700 on the coyote engine now. Cervinis called me and told me my hood is in. I will probably get it painted this winter as well as a few touch ups.

Working on adding Sparco R500 seats and upgrading my shaker 500 sound system.
Removed factory amps
Replaced all door and rear mid/high with JBL
Replaced door subs with audison APS 8D subs
Added 3 alpine amps.
Finishing up custom GT projector puddle light install since I had door panels off.

Cleaned the Mustang up getting ready for the parade today. We were asked to drive it as part of the Kiwanis Club entry for the parade to highlight their weekly car show and concert series.

Drove the car with the factory fuel pump in, got it OBD-ready and got the state inspection done!
Sucked driving it all light throttle to stay out of boost, but got the job done!
The tune is amazing! 5 minutes of driving and it was OBD ready!

Nice . Yeah unfortunately the rear O2's won't even show any values right now so we're just even trying to get it to show them

Found a set of Bullitt mufflers/M-5230-GTBs/F1-8087 locally for $80 to see if it would tame down the car a bit instead of the Corsas. I haven’t seen too many videos of this setup (LTs, Catted H, GTBs) so I decided to upload one.

Definitely a lot quieter overall.

Took a long while to find a set but recommend if you want a deeper/quieter OEM + style setup.

I can believe it..........few years back I had located a pair on Craiglist down by Las Cruses, NM but the seller was sketchy thus couldn't trust it.......also I just have too much sentiment in me for dual glass pack exhausts (ran too many of them under everything I owned in my 20's......), so this Pypes Super Bomb Mid Muffler catback exhaust I'm running under my car was near & dear to me......closest "modern" setup to good ole glass packs.

Have always loved the sound of the S197 Bullitt's, though. Why I typed "If I had a do over moment"...............

What about the last 2 weeks?

- Installed 2 new hose clamps on PCV system hose (valve cover & intake manifold hose clamps were missing).

- Muffler shop that installed the new exhaust system offered a free follow-up inspection. Had them put it on the rack and we inspected. No problems found.

- Checked fuel economy at gas pump comparing it to display monitor:
- 11.5 gals 93 octane
218.6 miles driven.
- Manual check: 19.0 mpg.
- Display monitor: 19.2 mpg.

- Mostly in-town driving.

Either way, an improvement.

Got this delivered yesterday..................LMR SVE 08-09 Bullitt Replica Grille.

Ordered this from LMR shipped thru FedEx & the package\part was reported arrived damaged by FedEx Aztec, NM hub on 7-16-26 (to deliver same day) & they had contacted the shipper (LMR) for directions, so I also contacted LMR same day & reported this as well thru CS & informed them that the package hadn't been delivered by FedEx thus can't verify condition.

LMR replied that they've contacted FedEx & have filed a damage claim w\ FedEx on the damaged package\part & have issued a replacement part to be shipped out to me on 7-20-26.

Well, FedEx must've repackaged the part in the meantime & delivered it yesterday morning to my carport door instead of to my living room door where they've always delivered packages to in a clean undamaged box w\ proper shipping label...........so I opened it up & the part was in pristine, NIB, untouched condition so I'm assuming that the damage must've been to the packaging box instead of to the part........?

So, we'll see what happens Monday...........I might end up w\ 2 of these (1 bought by FedEx paid to LMR thru damage claim & the other 1 bought by me from LMR..........haven't received an email from LMR yet cancelling the replacement part shipment......).

Part is built well IMHO & is fairly hefty in construction for the price, detail is very good (LMR SVE--special vehicle equipment--parts are exact restorations of the original OEM parts......replicas in short) w\ the only minor exception being the plastic chrome accent trim......not because of it being plastic--the OEM chrome trim piece was also plastic--but how it is attached to the grille frame (uses 2-sided tape exclusively w\ 1 alignment dowel instead of 2-sided tape & mounting clips along w\ the alignment dowel.......seen in picture #3......the mounting provisions\slots are molded into the grille frame.....) as most parts that I've bought that exclusively used 2-sided tape to mount them used the cheap stuff w\o any hint of adhesive promoter used thus was prone to separating early.
To be fair, this isn't a deal breaker to me as all it takes to remedy this is using the good stuff--3M 2-sided tape (.375" or larger....) --w\ 3M's adhesive promoter applied on both sides prior reapplication when it starts to come apart..........have already done this to other parts I have installed (rear window louver mounting clips, center decklid piece, 1 side CS duct replica.......) so I know how to fix it for good if\when this starts happening.

As far as I can see, this small item is the only potential issue\negative I see.........the rest IMHO is solid.

Gonna start installation as soon as I can get this compression wrap off my rt leg (had a RT leg superficial GSV ablation performed on 7-17-26 to arrest the venous insufficiency diagnosed in both lower legs some 14 yrs ago due to it getting worse while being treated for the 2 successive lower leg tendonitis episodes I had contracted\treated for earlier in both lower legs........LFT leg is scheduled for same procedure 7-24-26.......hopefully will stop the lower leg & ankle edema\swelling thus heaviness & irritation to skin to regain some normalcy in both legs).

I might look into installing a Mustang tri-bar pony emblem\badge on DS section of this grille later on (definitely will if I end up w\ the 2nd 1........) as I like this look added to it...............IOW's making it my own.
