Take the belt off first, see if it turns over by hand, siezed component (alt, pump, ac bearing..etc.) could cause this. If all is good there. Then go for the valve covers...

Definitely check for a locked up accessories like AC, alternator, idler pulley, etc. Spinning by hand with the plugs out would be my next check, followed by taking off the valve covers, draining the oil, and cutting open the oil filter. Good luck.

My first thought was an accessory when I heard the squeak.

I think as mentioned above would be what I would do. Take off the belt and spin the accessories. Then pull the valve covers. My guess is you have a follower that has come off and a chewed up cam---because of the ticking noise you had noticed earlier.

I'll do the checks tomorrow, luckily I'm off of work. I might not pull the valve covers tomorrow, but I'll check the belt and pullies.

UGH!! :dead2: :damnit:

Haha. It's not so much me being patient. It's me being pissed off. I hardly got the opportunity to drive the car. Once I put the turbo on there, the most unrelated shit started to break. Granted it's not the turbos fault. And, I'm broke as fuck right now too. So, that is kind of unmotivating.

Well. I just came inside.

I took the belt off of the tensioner. Spun all of the pullies by hand (including the A/C Comp) they all turn fine, no squeks or burrs or anything.

Put the belt back on, tried to turn the motor by hand. Nothing. How hard is it supposed to be??? Oh, I took the spark plugs out. How hard is it supposed to be?

I finally took the driver's side valve cover off. And honestly, I have no idea what the fuck I'm looking at. Any input? What should I be looking at? What should I be doing?

IME it should take some effort to turn the crank by hand with a breaker. Nothing ridiculous though. Make sure the car is not in gear.
