I think I do more burnouts on my bike than I do my car.

And cams are good because you can get the sound... and then add a supercharger on top of that for even more power :)

Installing cams for sound and then having to install an SC for power is not a good formula. The SC is going to provide tons of power anyway so just skip the cams. That's over $1000 saved.

Then why even change the axleback exhaust its only sound? I love the way the cams sound and if given the choice I'd throw them in before a supercharger every time. Its a quick and easy mod that I love. Dont get me wrong if I had either choice for free I'd go with a supercharger but I love the sound my Hot Rods give my car and they would just add power to the supercharger.

Because its a LOT cheaper. And you have to change your exhaust just to hear cams so axle backs, midpipe, and/or long tubes are already a prerequisite before someone should even consider getting cams for sound.

I do agree they would add power to the SC, but not much considering the gain the SC already has. SC's bump RWHP by ~200. Cams would add another 25-35hp. People looking for power, not sound, should just skip the cams and save up for the SC. Again, that's $1k+ spent for NSR cams. Those wanting to truly add power to their SC setup aren't going to go for NSR cams so the total price is even higher (unless you can do it yourself).

I regret putting on the FR intake manifold. It was an attempt to get a bit more power and only ended up netting me about 4whp across the power band and maybe 6 up top. Now we will see if i end up regretting the edelbrock SC that i had put on during this deployment once i get home in a few weeks.

Yep I can understand that. I hope you got to use those mods for a while before selling the "car".

Really? Mine really needs something better than 3.31's. I wanted 4.10's but the car is my dd. I had 4.56's in my old dd & didnt mind it but I do like how this car gets better mpg's than the truck, it just needs something more out the hole

My only regrets are trying and believing vendors claiming they can tune with my mods remotely with their canned tunes. Should have just bit the bullet and get it up on the dyno. Even with that the tune is only as good as the tuner, and they all claim they are the best. I'll take old school anyday over this PCM and laptop bullshit. Just another high dollar gimmick.
