I'm again digging up an old topic for some more current opinions/feedback.
I actually called and spoke to Hurst (B&M) today regarding the rattling on their shifters from a few years back. They told me a "vibration kit" is now included with their set-up i.e dynamat, loc-tite, etc . They also told me it was a Ford issue on how the transmission is installed/designed. Not sure what to think about that. I love the look of the Hurst and actually dig the notch-shift feel and sound.....but am scared of an annoying rattle.
The Pro 5.0 with the Hurst stick sounds intriguing.
How about some current opinions/experiences?
Thanks again in advance.
I have been running a Pro 5.0 with Hurst handle for a couple years now and still love it! Nice retro look in the car and it shifts great.
Those comments from Hurst are great!! Instead of designing a shifter that will work "rattle-free", they just blame Ford's tranny/shifter design. Sounds like their rattle kit is just something to mask the problem and not address it!
