where's my damn part?

I ordered a part from a vendor on this forum on Thursday (maybe Friday can't remember for sure. My friend ordered the same thing from Jeg's on Monday of this week and it was installed on his car yesterday. It's 3:25pm on Thursday and I still don't have mine.

Also ordered a part from BMR the same day. It went on the car Tuesday night.

It's just that I figured I should have it before I go to the track tomorrow night. Even if it comes in tomorrow I will have to rush to get it installed.

Yeah I called them. They shipped it on Tuesday. WTF? 5 days after I ordered it.

well they are vendors....probably not a big one....and 99% they didn't had it in stock....so they ordered it froma biger vendor or the factory directly...and then they send it to you....duuuh....you should know by now how those things work...either make sure they have the part in stock before you order it or order facory direct....because NOT A SINGLE VENDOR WILL TELL YOU WE DONT HAVE IT IN STOCK AND SEND YOU YOUR MONEY BACK.....they'll take it and send you the thing when they have it....it happened to me like 4 times...thats why I alllways call them up to make sure thet they have it in stock before I order or order factory direct...some of the bigger vendors like summit,jegs they have a little writing on the botom of the prodct saying....out of stock or it will ship on the 22.12. the earlyest....not all of them though.....so research next time my friend...research

well if you ordered Friday.... and it was late.... IMHO you cant be surprised that it may not have shipped until Tuesday. Typically nothing ships Sat/Sun and 24-48 hours to ship is not unreasonable. Yes Jegs/Summit ship quick, they are huge and automated.... not all are set up that way....

I asked if it was in stock. They put me on hold to check. He came back and said he had one more. It's unacceptable.

You can bet yer money on one thing, I won't order another damn thing from them just because I want to save a buck. They could have shipped the damn thing from China and got it here faster.

Well.. that may be exaggerating just a bit. I have ordered stuff that shipped from China. A couple of weeks is a good turn around time from there.

not true....I ordered something from Lethal Performance and Jared called me 20 minutes after order was placed to make sure I knew it had a lead time of 1-3 days for them to assemble it before it would be shipped out. That happened yesterday....I would not say what I captioned in red since some worry about there customers....

well it was probably a 2-3k heads,or a block or something....that is getting assembled in the shop... that will make them the manufacturer....ofcourse they'll call you and tell you.....but I bet you they wont stock every ford racing part,or steeda.....AMF since you brought it up....I ordered my frpp shocks/struts from them...like a ear ago....I dont know if it was jared I was dealing with....first they didnt had it in stock...and second they had the old price listed there....and I called them and told them that their price is 80$ cheaper than everyone elses....and why is it and when I can expect my struts,they told me...ooh well ....we dont have them in stock....and yes you are corect we still have the old prices.....sooo...aahm...do you still want to keep the order.....with the new price?....and that was 3 days after I mad the order and didnt got a track number....since everyone was swearing by Lethal....

SO WHAT WE LEARNED FROM THAT THREAD IS:ALLWAYS CALL THE VENDOR AND MAKE SURE THAT THEY HAVE THE PART IN STOCK BEFORE YOU ORDER...AND ALLWAYS PAY WITH A MAJOR CREDIT CARD SO CAN HAVE PROTECTION...ALLWAYS PRINT A RECIEPT TO HAVE ON HAND...NEVER MAKE ORDERS OVER THE PHONE...UNLESS IT IS WITH KB...HAHA NO OTHER WAY WITH THEM!!!!

Yeah. What really happened here is you ordered a part on a Friday, got excited about it, ramped yourself up to take your car and new part to the track the following Friday, and it didnt show up in time. This happens all the time. What is important is if you part arrives somewhat timely (not 3 months later), as advertised, and at the price quoted, then you are good. Just imagine how you would feel if this was a motor and it was from MMR.

If you ordered the part on Friday afternoon and the vendor said they had it in stock, his shipping still may have already picked up that day. Either way, the track isnt going to blow away in a tornado. Have patience. Rome wasnt built in a day.

It's supposed to be a MotoBlue Line lock. And it doesn't even come come close to fitting on my car. On top of that, the fittings won't even fit the solenoid. The instructions are for a Hurst line lock. The Solenoid is a B&M. The instructions also say RPM Outlet all over them. I didn't order it from RPM Outlet. It's a giant piece of shit. I want my money back.

As a matter of fact, it's just a bunch of parts thrown together from different kits.
