i dont know if its me but i have a stock gt other than the boomtubes i have and i feel like its really slow. sure its decent, but not for a V8. If i try to run like in third gear at a roll, it feels like a dam slug trying to take off, and this is taking off at 3500 rpms. seems like it has no torque on the bottom end. dont know if any body can relate to that when they had a stock gt but I was wondering if a tune and intake really helps these cars wake up. im planning on getting the combo but since im on a budget i just wanted to know everyones input if its worth the 600 bucks.

What do you have manual or automatic? And I wouldn't say sluggish but the intake and tune is worth the money if you get an email tune from one of the reliable vendors out there, really does wake the car up

I feel his pain. Back when i was under warranty still i had a few problems with p/s pump and rack going out. Had to put all the stock parts on and flash to orig tune to qualify for warranty. Car felt like a pig, especially in 3rd gear. My advise would be some 4.10s,CAI and tuner. Cheap mods and will really wake your car up.

i was thinking 4.10s would help out, but would it be worth it because this is car is my daily driver. i drive it around 200 + miles a week.

I have 4.10s and I drive about 350 to 400 miles per. week. 4.10s are no problem on the hwy.

I bought a 08 GT new. It had 230 miles on it and at 250 miles I installed a JLT and BamaChips tune. I love the extra HP. It wasn't the same car as before. I'm a big 5.0 foxbody lover. When I test drove it it didn't feel like it had the torque the 5.0 Foxes had. After the tune it had way more seat of the pants HP and Torque. Love it and wouldn't go back to stock.

I have 3.90's in my car now and love them. I still get 27.? MPG on the interstate. Thats driving it right and sitting the cruise at 70 mph.

I'm thinking of changeing my 3.90's out and installing 4.30's. So you won't regret getting the 4.10's unless you deside you want more gear. LOL The gears made a big improvement in the pull!

Yes. Intake and tune and it will feel like a new car. You can get the Demolet Tuneable inductions cai and tuner combo for $479. I made 32rwhp with this setup on my stock GT.
Comes with cai, sct xcal 3 with interface cable and 3 diff octane tunes. Its like 25 bucks more for custom color match paint and its free shipping. Best bang for your buck/hp gain, period.

if the car is stock, your gas pedal is tuned to be slow.
even with no mods and just a tune you'll notice it's more fun to mash on and won't think it's so slow to respond
