I recently bought the prothane motor mounts from brenspeed. They do not come with the bolt, to bolt the motor to the mount so I went and bought a 3/8x2" bolt which scewed in and out of these fine. When I went to torque the bolt down it just kept spinning on both sides as if i stripped out the threads. I was just seeing what bolts I should be using. The manufacture company only works mon-thur so I can't contact them and brenspeed is gone for the day.

Dang, if it wasn't such a pain to get to, I would take one out. I think the bolts are longer than 2". That might be the problem. Oh yeah, you are running urethane mounts.. not solid mounts.

I just bought a set of prothane mounts from Brenspeed about a month ago. Mine came with with 2 allen bolts to bolt the engine brackets to the mounts. I used the factory bolts to bolt the mounts to the frame. It sounds to me like you got shorted a couple of bolts. If I remember correctly, they are a few inches long.

You definitely got shorted 2 bolts and 2 washers.

It is a 10mm 1.5 pitch 50mm allen (8mm) head bolt it is not a 3/8 2"

Thanks for your help guys, I went out and got a 3" bolt and it works now. I'll have to get a hold of brenspeed next week and see if they will send me the right one.

Mine also came with the bolts. My long tube at the time made it almost impossible to get one of the bolts tight. At least tight enough for my liking. If I remember correctly it was the driver side. However different headers have different bends so that issue may have only been related to the Mac L/T's

Either way I would still get the correct bolts from Breenspeed, you paid for them.

I had the same problem with the drivers side Mac Header. I used different bolts so I could get a wrench on them.
