How much is your car lowered? I'm pretty sure the eibach kit is a 2" drop. I have a 1.5" drop and use the nitto 305-45-18's with no problem. that extra half inch drop would be closer than I would want it to be tho.

I've been running Nitto 305/45/18 DRs for a couple of years. And even though their web site (and other tire web sites) say it is 28.8" tall, it is closer to 28" tall once mounted and on the car.

Dont really know, the coilovers are adjustable and I got the car lowered till I liked the stance, but with the before & after look, its a lot of difference.

eibach has 2 kits the pro kit is about a 1.5" drop. the sport line (i think) is a 2".
thanks for the info everyone. i'll probably go with them seeing so many use them with no issues. it will just be for my street tire, but won't be a dd anymore so tread wear isn't a worry of mine.

Oh perfect you'll be fine then! It gives the car a bit of a rake which looks badass too

I'm using the 305/45/18 ET streets. I do have clearance issues! I had 1.5" drop BMR springs on the rear, and it rubbed horribly. Had to switch to the 265's. I since went back to the 305's, but took the lowering springs off. It rubs a lot less, but still does when going over angles, or really hard bumps (expansion joints) at high speeds. It took off a nice section of paint on the inner rear bumper. I do have '03 wheels, so the backspacing doesn't help either, but i still think they would rub. I wish they came in a 305/40, that would be perfect. thinking of going with the M&H, i hear they are slightly shorter. It DOES give the car a sweet rake though, makes it look mean

Nitto makes a 305/40/18 and a 305/35/18 DR.

Not great track tires but they are fine for the street.

They make a 305/45/18 drag radial. I have been running them for over two years.

pretty sure everyone knows about nitto. i don't want nitto they aren't all that great from what i hear, but have a great wear rating for a dr. if anything i'll go with a bfg dr to match my kdw 2 front tires. the only thing with those is they only come in a 295

forget the BFG DRs as they absolutely blow. Get MT's or MH's. I feel the MH DR is the absolute best and stickest out there. i got a 1.53 and 1.57 on my 18" DRs (275/45/18 and they are really like 255's)

Yea, they suck. I can't get better than high 1.5 60ft times with them :beerdrink:

No denying the M&Hs rock. Especially for the price. But I really can't complain about the Nitto DRs. I haven't been launching any higher than 2500 or so because I am still figuring out where and how to settle in with the new transmission. But I have cut a 1.58 on the same tires I use on the street daily.

My Nitto 305/35/20 give me enough traction to pull a 1.58 60 ft on my 20s and and a 4000lb + car with no spin . WORKS FOR ME. LOL

Hawg- yeah I knew about the 305/45/18 but he was asking for a 40 series and they make that too.

I have run nitto's in the past and for a street biased tire I think they are great.

Does anyone know what the drop is with the Roush rear springs? I think it is 1" but I am not sure.

It is hard to visualize how much taller they will be, but I want to run a 305/45/18, but my brain keeps saying it will be tight, but I know you guys are running them so I know they must be ok.

You wouldn't have issues if you ran the wheel with the right offset (+45mm on a 10 wide wheel). Your 03 wheels only have a +24mm offset, pushing the wheel out, which is why its rubbing.

It won't with a +45mm offset wheel, as stated by MexGT and Hawg

No and 18x9.5 with 45mm offset (OEM GT500)

Mine are on 18X10s with a 184mm backspacing and a 45mm offset. Don't stick out

like i said it's just from what i've heard. if you all are doing good with them then great. they obviously are great tires then. maybe you just have the people that don't know how to drive their own car or they don't have their suspension set up to get their power to stick.
