Will this Tial Q BOV have hangup issues?

I just ordered a "new" Tial Q BOV from AmericanMuscle.com, but they sent me a used one, and it's even missing the flange. Right on the box it said "this item has been inspected".

Aside from that disappointment, it was their last one in stock. I may return it anyway, as who knows what's up with the bov and I haven't opened it to verify it has the right spring, BUT if I did decide to keep it, would valve scratches like this cause hangups or other non-smooth operation?

Not sure what AM will do about this, since the first guy was super nice and noticed I've seen several thousand dollars with them, and said he would look into how much he could give back since they can't (shouldn't) resell it.
I called today to check up on it, and the guy I got today just said "Doesn't look to bad to me. Maybe a little dirty."...completely ignoring the fact they sent me a used one with a missing flange that apparently was "inspected".
Not really impressed with AmericanMuscle.com at the moment.

Multiple photos showing all the way around and the lack of the flange.

First off that's bullshit if you ordered a new part off their site and they sent you a used one. I would not accept that.

As far as the valve goes for operation, all that really matters is that the o-ring on the bottom of the silver valve inside is in good shape and seals properly on the seat. And then the diaphragm on inside so it hold boost and vac reference properly. You would have top open it up to inspect the diaphragm.

Screw that. Get a full refund. If they won't do that, dispute the charge on the credit card.

Order it from someplace else if AM.com is out of them.

Should have noted the first rep's name when you called. Maybe try sending a PM to the AM reps on this forum?

If that doesn't work out, it's chargeback time. These are common enough to be carried by Summit & Jegs.

Thanks all. They offered a full refund yesterday, and gave me a $40 store credit for the hassle. I have it boxed and ready to send back to AM, but just received an email from Tial (I had contacted them), saying that I can do the RMA through them and they will fix it up with new parts.
I'm considering doing that because it will let me keep the 6% discount I got from being on the forum.
I called JEGS because theirs said it will ship a week out, http://www.jegs.com/i/TiAL-Sport/768/002587/10002/-1 and they confirmed it is drop-shipped by Tial.

I am going to see what Tial will do for me directly, so I can keep the discount and just work with them.

I often get hesitant anymore to depend on online inventory status as I have ordered many parts that turned out to be on backorder for weeks.
