Since I have yet to pull it apart and see the issue for myself I would probably be fine with lightly used as I do eventually plan on pulling this engine and replacing it with something that has forged rods, pistons, better oil pump, reworked heads and a decent set of N/A cams. The darn thing runs great though, doesn't burn oil, gets decent mileage still and has never given me one problem. It is just this ticking on initial start up related to worn/sticky valve train because the previous owner didn't maintain it properly. So now I am trying to fix it on the cheap while I acquire all the go fast goodies to then pull it and go through it.
