And here I am with no issues. TR-6060, RST, McLeod steel 6 bolt flywheel, 4.6, Ford slave from Ford dealer.

Arggg. lol

I have that exact same setup in the car now. And still no go.

If the shim doesnt work for me like it did for redstang I guess its an issue with the clutch itself.

^ keep the faith. It worked for me. I don't see why it shouldn't work for you, short of the clutch itself being mis-manufactured.

Lightblade any update?

Here is mine. I ordered overnight last week the McLeod aluminum flywheel ($140 shipping). Lee from McLeod told the Ford Tech to call him once the flywheel was on and he (Lee) would walk him through the install. Lee told the tech that their were certain "things" that needed to be checked? The tech was backed up on friday and monday but today he called, left three messages clutch is still on the bench waiting for Lee to call back. Not so impressed with McLeod at this moment. 1st they tell me that the Exedy flywheel will work with the RST (no it doesn't). Now we can't get them to call us back, and why two different sets of instructions? They also tell you that with their flywheel and clutch you don't need to shim the TOB. However their are two guys on this forum alone that ran the McLeod flywheel and the RST/RXT and both needed a shim? Car has now been on the rack for almost 2 weeks. Feeling like I should've gone with a Ram clutch at this point.

I feel your pain. Trust me I do. Throw that shim in there and when lee finally takes the time to call you back tell him to go screw himself. I don't think its a coincidence that I had 2 seperate setups with 2 different transmission with 2 new factory slaves and had the same outcome without a shim. Put that shim in there and I swear to you that if someone didn't know what I had done, they would swear it was factory. Maybe the only way they could tell is the Rxt doesn't want to slip that much when trying to pull out easy. Mine is like a dream now to drive. SOOOO easy to shift. No more hanging in gear between shifts, no more lock outs, No more hanging in gear at a low rpm and not wanting to release. I am really upset with a few companies that is floating around. I think once they got big and proved their products, they have got lazy and slacked off. The only way I could see Mcloed comning back at me and saying well this is how come you needed a shim is the fact I have a aftermarket crank. I don't see how that could affect the spacing any but I thought I read somewhere that the crank could affect the spacing of the flywheel from the clutch. I could be talking out of my ass(which I do alot) but I am pretty sure I read that somewhere on here.

My friend Brent has been calling around getting advice on how to fix the issue, we have a shim on the way from McLeod as well, which we are hoping fixes the issue, McLeod hasn't been helpful whatsoever, we got an answer saying "it is what it is" from them, which pissed us off so we called Lethal and they have been helpful in troubleshooting the matter, finally after talking with AMP we were directed to a guy by the name of Red Robinson if I remember correctly who went step by step on how to take some measurements and further adjust the clutch to work properly... Hopefully after all this bullshit and phone calls it will finally do the trick.... And to think we had another guy contact us today for an RXT install on his 09' GT500 lol... I want to pull my hair out.

Shim did not help....

Im lost.

At the shop they looked in the bellhousing of 2 different 3650 setups and the slave isnt compressed at all, it doesnt even touch the pressure plate installed. And the clutches work fine.... ????

Also someone said something about checking the clutch line for a leak or bubble or something I had the ss line put in.

Are you installing a factory 6060 ? did you mod the trans w/blow shield or a spacer plate? did you compare the old clutch set-up with the new, any measurable differences, Can you send photos of the parts

Yeap factory 6060. There was no old clutch setup. I just bought the trans. The trans did have a 2010 gt500 oem slave on it (inch shorter slave) that I removed.

Pictures off all parts in this thread.

So you just replaced the TB with the long ver, and replaced the clutch dic w/ 26 spline , With it bolted up, you drove it and the TB went bad, and the clutch would not complete disengage, correct. Is it back together with spacer? and did you test drive it?

I have looked at the photos, I checked to make sure that the 10 BH, is the same as the 07/09. There is no reason for this not to work. The only diff in the 10 6060 is the taller clutch and shorter TB. I can only think of 2 things that cause it not to work.
1. Your installer put the short TB in by mistake.
2. There is something wrong with you PP/ clutch setup. Fingers are not extended when tighten down.
Did you print the Ram setup sheet, and get the measurements?

Jeremy,

Is there any chance the wrong pp was used? Do you know what part number was installed? It's written right on the pp.

1. The installer does not have the short tb to put on.

2. The pp just says mcleod rst/rxt like all the other ones I have ever seen. I orderd the clutch from JPC it is a 26spline RST. May indeed be something wrong with it.

Somone mentioned they had a leak on their ss clutch line conenction and it caused these same issues.... Anyone heard of that?

Also Gil, so you explained that the tb needs to be compressed when installed. Do you know why then on the 3650 that the slaves are not compressed at all when installed.?

I wish i had kept my measurement sheets on the ones i have installed. I did not keep them since i never thought it was that much of a problem. All i can say is get the measurements for the Ram sheet
